Esther Lillian (Farr) (Niederhauser) Loomer is the daughter of the late Raymond and Martha Josephine Johnson Farr. She was born on April 4, 1920 in McCallsburg, Iowa. She was a graduate of Laurel, Iowa High School. Esther married Dennis Dean Loomer in September of 1977 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Throughout their married life they lived in Iowa, Colorado and Texas. Esther passed away on May 5, 2013 in Austin, Texas. Esther was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, 2 sisters, MaryLou and Doris; and 3 brothers, Bob, Dale and Eugene. Dennis Dean Loomer was born on February 12, 1933 in Mason City, Iowa to H. Max and Zelda (Chapman) Loomer. He was a graduate of Mason City High School. Dennis passed away on March 14, 2013. He had retired with Esther to Austin, Texas. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Chuck and Brad.

 
                                                  

Esther Loomer

Esther Lillian (Farr) (Niederhauser) Loomer passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013. She was born to the late Raymond Farr and Martha Johnson Farr on April 4, 1920.

Esther graduated from Laurel High School in Laurel, Iowa. She joined the U.S. Navy in April, 1944 with a classification of Specialist (Telegrapher) 2nd class, becoming an aviation Link Trainer Instructor at the Marshalltown Airport. Esther is a World War II Veteran Honoree at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D. C. After retiring from the Navy in October of 1945, Esther pursued a career in accounting and worked as the bookkeeper at Niederhauser Airways and stayed with that career throughout her life.

In 1957 she was selected as one of the semi-finalists for the Mrs. America Beauty Pageant.
Esther married Dennis Dean Loomer in September of 1977 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Dennis passed away on March 14, 2013. Throughout their married life they lived in Iowa, Colorado and Texas.

Survivors include their 6 six children: Esther's sons John (Judy) Niederhauser of Whitwill, Tennessee; Dale (Sandy) Niederhauser of New Braunfels, Texas; Bob (Marge) Niederhauser of Panora, Iowa; and daughters Myrna (Kenny) Hartwig of Melbourne, Iowa; Susan (Carl) Larson of Austin, Texas; Dennis' sons Jon (Dee) Loomer of Denver, Colorado; Mark Loomer of Mason City, Iowa; and daughter Denise (Tim) Trettin of Rockford, Iowa; 20 grandkids, 28 great-grandkids and 7 great-great-grandkids.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband Dennis, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.

Visitation will be at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas; with burial following at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. Pastor Marty Brauer will officiate at all services.
 
    
                                              

Dennis D. Loomer

Dennis Dean Loomer, 80, of Austin, Texas, died Thursday, March 14, 2013.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013 at the Memorial Chapel of Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, Texas. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., with burial following at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery. Pastor John Hirsch will officiate all services.

Dennis was born February 12, 1933 in Mason City, Iowa to H. Max and Zelda (Chapman) Loomer. He was a 1951 graduate of Mason City High School.

He married Esther L. (Farr) Niederhauser on September 24, 1977 at the Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls, Iowa. He worked the majority of his career as an Insurance Adjuster and in Insurance Sales. He ventured out for a time to work in construction, remodeling and building new homes in Texas. He returned to Insurance sales living in Fort Worth, back to Manson, Iowa, then retiring with Esther in Austin, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Esther of Austin, Texas; son, Jon (Dee) of Denver, Colorado; son, Mark of Mason City, Iowa; daughter, Denyce (Mrs. Tim) Trettin of Rockford, Iowa; and one sister, Jo (Mrs. Burt) Falk of Palm Desert, California. He also leaves step-sons ~ John (Judy) Niederhauser of Whitwill, Tennessee; Dale (Sandy) Niederhauser of New Brunfels, Texas; Bob (Marge) Niederhauser of Panora, Iowa; step-daughters ~ Myrna (Mrs. Kenny) Hartwig of Melbourne, Iowa; Susan (Mrs. Carl) Larson of Austin, Texas; along with 20 grandkids, 28 great-grandkids, and 7 great-great-grandkids.
