2658 G Reed Ave is our residence and 125 W Merle Hibbs Blvd #345 is our mailing address. Merle Hibbs address reaches us in Tucson during the winter months as well. It is the UPS Store so we don't have to keep changing our address. Our Arizona address is 3100 S. Kinney Rd. #192
Tucson, AZ 85713. I know this isn't what was wanted here but I figured I had better explain the address situation.

What are your hobbies and how do you relax?

Crocheting: plastic canvas; reading = hobbies
Relax by playing games on the computer!

Your favorite vacation spot?

Tucson, Arizona

What's the funniest thing that has ever happened to you?

Standing inside a Wal-mart in Tucson, and a woman comes in and grabs Walt by the shoulder and says, "Turn around, I want to see if I know you!" We didn't know her but she looked familiar. Her husband joined us about then and I knew him!! It was Dr. McFarland, former Superintendent of the Marshalltown Community School District. All I could say for a minute was, "I know you, I know you!" I did finally say Dr. and Mrs McFarland! I worked (taught) under Dr. McFarland for quite a few years, plus I worked with his mother at the Public Library while in high school.

There were several of we Aaron Palmer elementary students who moved out of the district when the west end of Marshalltown was being developed and went to Franklin school. The Davenports were one of the familys.  Gene, Joan, Bob Johannsen, Don Alexader and myself all classmates lived close in the neighborhood.  MANY good times playing were had. I was devastated hearing Gene was electricuted the summer after graduation.  He was the first deceased in our class. 60 years later his twin,Joan, making 112 deceased for our class, that I'm aware of.  It was good to see her at a gals luncheon last fall before they headed south. Most of us attending the luncheon were in lower elementary at Aaron Palmer.  Our conversations were full of fun, laughter, and GREAT memories.  Goodbye, longtime friend, Joan.

Joan was my best friend in High School.  We kept in touch through the years, and every time we got together, it was as if no time had passed, and we were buddies again.
