Talked to Mark Summerlot while Christmas shopping. We talked about our 30th. This can be a great we of keeping up on each other. Pass the word to any class mates ya talk to and encourage them to set up a profile. Can't wait to see all of you.

Yes, I can't believe that here, in 2009, we do not have much more participation to date (at least for adding profiles). Considering that sites like classmates.com want $10-30 per person, I can't believe folks wouldn't want to take advantage of a free reunion site like this one. I praise and thank Kari and those that actually set up this site for their efforts. If you change the "1979" part of this URL to "1980" or "1978", you'll realize that not all classes are so fortunate.
I'm sure most people from our class, as I do, know one or two close friends that for one reason or another, just don't want to participate and have no interest in hanging out with "relative strangers" from 30 years ago, and that's their right to feel that way. But it's a shame. After having attended these things in the past, it always has resulted in a fun and rewarding weekend, especially after we get past the initial 10 year reunion and people have had a few ups and downs in their lives. Imagine the prom queen and the jocks hanging out with the nerds, and the cheerleaders hanging out with the burn-outs and the gear heads..it actually happens because we are now over all those stupid clicks, and we are all just people with, amazingly, lots of things in common now! One shouldn't miss out on opportunities missed!
Enough of my soapbox..hope ya'll start posting!

Yes, I need everyones help in getting this going. By spreading the website I get new classmates everyday and I want to stress it is free to join, no cost...Chris Smith from the Class of 78 set this site up for us and I helped down load classmates names from the yearbook and general info about the reunion, I'm in the site everyday and I get notified when a new classmate joins and tell them to spread the word so maybe when I mail the postcards out in February about saving the date for the reunion we will get more joining. But I need every classmates help. I am missing some deceased classmates we lost the list from the 25th, so let me know..check that out the classmates pictures are on there with music from 1979...very classy....thanks to Chris...

I'll wear the '76 spike/chrome version of Gene Simmon's outfit, if you wear the 1979 Ace Frehley outfit with the jewels and sheer off-white drapes hanging under your arms to complete the look.
Still looking for my rainbow suspenders and platform shoes.....now, if I could still just squeeze into that jean jump-suit, the packing would be done.

Yes I remember Cindy Nielsen..........nice kid...as I remember.
Yes the years have flown.........Leisha and I were at the 10 year reunion and figured we would come this summer for the big 30.
I will be happy to buy you a beer this summer.
Oh by the way, I think we should bring school pictures. I have a 5th grade class picture with Ms. Seversike from Franklin elementary.

Heard about this from Jack Heinrichs, glad he told me. I stayed up for 2 hours after delivering a load to Chicago (I am a truck driver) when I should have been sleeping getting ready for the next days run looking through profiles and the rest of the site. I haven't made a reunion since the 10 year and really look forward to seeing everyone. Big thanks to all the Committee Members for putting this together!!

I had a little free time this morning, I sent about 20 emails to the people on Classmates.com who have not yet created profiles here. I got through A-F.

Hope that helps.

Think I'll go the blackmail route and keep digging up old incriminating pictures of people who haven't done a profile yet. Also, I'm trying to hunt up a copy of our yearbook if anyone has any ideas...

Hey I need everyones help again, make sure when you input your email address that you un-spam the webiste, I sent as Administrator, sent a mass email to everyone in the class website(it was so cool) but a bunch bounced back undeliverable, probably went into your spam folder, so un-spam us or better yet put us in your favorites and that will take care of it.....John Taylor is one of the ones that got bounced back, so if anyone has contact with him tell him to add us to his favorites...Still looking for a year book for Jay Cunningham...

Dean Fogarty don"t you need to go sell more beer? You are spending to much time emailing. By the way thanks for the compliment.

Sounds like Doug Monahan is throwing down a challenge, I'll be willing to take that challenge. My only request is that since he is making up the rules I should at least be able to pick out the blind fold he will have to wear, other than that, I probably don't have much of a chance. Anyone object to that?

02/02/09 11:10 AM #18

Doug Monahan

Hey Jack...forget the blindfold unless there is something sexual involved. I'll play you one handed..how's that. You pick the hand.

02/02/09 04:19 PM #19

Jay Cunningham

...something sexual...one handed...high school. Yep. Sounds about right.
