OK, so Gene Beach was a fluent Russian speaker who worked in a job he wouldn't talk about, that was outside of the US. So was he really a spy working in Russia??

He qualifies as one of my favorites. Anyone else remember his Elvis impersonation?

I just heard on the radio that it's Leo Sayers 61st birthday today. I don't expect any responses from Fogarty today, because he takes the day off to celebrate every year. Dance the night away Dean.

I am looking for any Bobcat memorabilia that you would like to share at the reunion for decorating and our enjoyment.

Thanks Patrice Pollard (Ervin) for the great stuff you left at your parents house for us to use and share. Patrice has some great newspaper articles, copies of Pebbles and old programs that everyone will enjoy looking at.

Please send me a message if you have anything.

Thanks, Deb Stone (Akins)

Oh lets see... 1st Car, 1970 Chevy Puke Green 4-dr w/Slushbox... Pre Merc hehe

last concert was a 2-day Rock Hall of Fame Music Festival in Cary, NC, Fri night center stage for The White Socks band (Allen White/YES, Eric Brazillian/Hooters, Tom Bowe/Tower of power and others, ,then Rick Derringer and closing by Dave Mason. Sat was Sat all day, if I can remember all of them lol Jefferson Airplane, Styx (Dennis DeYoung entire Paradice Theater set) Buck Drmha/BOC and some Deep Purple, closed by the WHO (former John Entwhistle Band) and Jack Bruce from some group called Cream . It was pretty awesome, stayed in the suites 1/2 mile away and walked. But it is AMAZING how much you can spend for venue beers over two blurry days lol A couple vid clips on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/user/TheStrGazer

See ya all next month ;)

Pat - That 'time' in KC? Sheeed..which time, brother? There was too many of those "that time's"!! Yes, better wait until we speak in person...I don't want Snoop-Dean-FO to damage his delicate constitution if he reads of such events.

Pat - Regarding head into the windshield of the datsun..I seem to recall some young hotties pulling up beside us on south center street and holding up some sign in the window..something about "we want to sample your bomb-pops" or some such request. I think it was Maertens and Whitehill in the car, but I digress. Anyhow, I seem to remember pointing out that sight to you, and you took your eyes off the road for some reason, causing my cranial injuries, and probably accounting for some share of my behavior since then. Totally not my fault, and, being a friend, I didn't pursue the lawsuit.

Hotel rooms are going fast, I would book a room as soon as possible.

Best Western Regency has 8 rooms still available to call for reservations 1-800-241-2974

Comfort Inn has 5 rooms left open 641-752-6000 or www.choicehotels.com

Economy Inn has 10 rooms still open 641-752-5485

Super 8 Motel has 5 smoking rooms available 641-753-3333

Also the Meskwaki Casino has rooms still open if any want to travel the 20 miles 1-800-728-4263

They are not giving any discounts to our classmates unless you get one on your own. I asked and they said no unless we are AARP or AAA so they give discounts if you travel alot also..so good luck to those coming from out of town...maybe shack up with a classmate...

Lola,
I just got off the phone with Dean, and he asked me what I was wearing too. My answer was...."what the heck Dean, I don't know until 5 mins before I walk out the door"(like most men). He mentioned he was wearing short shorts, flip flops and a muscle shirt. Some things never change. lol

06/01/09 01:28 PM #142

Kari Hennis (Riemenschneider)

Dean,
Now you've done it. You shouldn't have gone there. Now you have Lauri all pissed off, and you well know she's younger me. Perhaps you should check your own household. Names withheld to protect the innocent. Beer? what beer?

Kari Hennis (Riemenschneider)

Okay Dean what happened to your banter, and stirring the pot, we loved it and knew it was all in fun...where did your stuff go...did you delete the stuff or hide it like you do your name on the front of the homepage so I don't know your on line.... :)
