Melanie Felton, 60, of Waco, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014. Service will be at 2 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2014, at the Waco Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Fr. Isadore Rozycki officiating. Rosary will be at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2014, at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Melanie was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Anna Pearl and Walter Felton. She loved to sew and tend the garden around the house. Melanie also adored children, especially her many nieces and nephews. She was known as "The Fun Aunt" and you never knew what craziness you would get into over at Aunt Melanie's house. Melanie was deeply loved by all for her outlandish humor, which will stay with us for a long time.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Mark and Perry Felton.
Survivors include her daughter, Cristi McGowan; sons, Craig and Keeth Uptmor; grandchildren: Kinsey, Steel, Hunter, and Oliver; daughter-in-law, Carissima Uptmor; son-in-law, Chris McGowan; sisters, Sue Payne, and Wray Hurst; brothers: Scott Felton, Thomas Felton, Mike Felton, and Bob Felton; many other relatives and friends.
