Denise "Tootie" M. (Carver) Bunton, 46, of Paragon, passed from this earthly life on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 5:37 p.m. at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Indianapolis on Wednesday, July 29, 1970 to the late Donald Earl Carver and Margaret Dean (Wilson) Carver. 
She was raised in Morgan County and graduated from Martinsville High School with the class of 1988. During the summer before her senior year of high school, she married her loving husband, Billy D. Bunton Jr., on June 11, 1987.  
Tootie worked at Lee Pharmacy in Martinsville as a Pharmacy Technician. Her true passion was homemaking and her family; she enjoyed cooking, yardwork with her husband, and even laundry. She also enjoyed fishing and her dogs, Shawna Lynn and Roxyan. Known for her caring and compassionate soul, she was known by many as "Nana". 
She will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her loving family including her husband, Billy Bunton Jr. of Paragon; daughter, Mykisha Bunton (partner, Dustin Johnson) of Lakeland, Florida; sister, Diana Lynn (Husband, Jim) Moran of Martinsville; brother, Don (wife, Karen) Carver of Martinsville; granddaughter, Lahla Johnson; nephew/son, Darren Carver; nephews, Joey Moran and Eric Moran; and niece, Skylar Moran.  
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, February 24, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at New Life Christian Church, 2450 South Guy Road, Paragon. A memorial service celebrating Tootie's life will begin at 6:00 p.m. at the church. Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville has been entrusted with cremation and service arrangements.
