Richard Eugene DeRossett “Richie”, 54, Martinsville, passed away at 8:33 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving and caring family.

He was born on Sunday, November 30, 1969 in Martinsville, Indiana, to David Lee and Donna Maria (Eggers) DeRossett.

Richie was a 1988 graduate of Martinsville High School. He was a big part of DeRossett and Sons Excavating. When he was not working, he enjoyed restoring Jeeps and spending time with his family.

He is survived by Dana Farmer; sons, Jack DeRossett and wife Taylor of Martinsville, Joseph DeRossett and wife Adelle, expecting John DeRossett of Muncie, Austin Henselmeier and Kaitlyn, expecting Eben Henselmeier of Martinsville and Shane Farmer of Georgia; his parents, Dave and Donna of Martinsville; brother, David DeRossett “Davie” and wife Lagena in Martinsville; grandchildren, Amelia DeRossett, Einar DeRossett, Ike DeRossett, Vaeda Henselmeier and Brycen Farmer.

Funeral services will be 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Costin Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the funeral service from 4:00 p.m. until service time.

In keeping with Richie’s wishes, he will be cremated after the services.
