Melissa K. “Missy” (Helton) Morrison, 41, Martinsville passed away at 7:47 a.m. on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Morgan Hospital and Medical Center.

She was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on January 30, 1969 to Larry D. Helton and Charlene L. (Grimes) Hughes.

Missy married Rick L. Morrison on May 27, 1991.

She was a homemaker and attended Hoosier Harvest Church at Martinsville.

Missy was a 1988 graduate of Martinsville High School and attended Hair Fashions by “Kaye” in Plainfield. She enjoyed bowling and doing ceramics.

She is survived by her husband, Rick L. Morrison of Martinsville; one son, Ricky Morrison of Martinsville; two daughters, Cassie (Morrison) Ray and husband Ryan of Martinsville and Carisa (Morrison) Graves and husband Christopher of Martinsville; father, Larry D. Helton and wife Gloria of Martinsville; mother, Charlene L. (Grimes) Hughes and husband Wendil of Martinsville; two brothers, Troy S. Helton of Mooresville and Chris L. Helton of Martinsville; one sister, Chasta R. Dow of Martinsville; one stepbrother, Larry Rushing of Australia; three stepsisters, Jennifer Dow of Martinsville, Natalie Clarkston of Mooresville and Renia McFarland of Greenwood; two grandsons, Drake Ray and Dayton Ray; another grandson, Chrysler Graves which is due to be born in September.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 25, 2010 at Costin Funeral Chapel in Martinsville.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Costin Funeral Chapel and one hour prior to the service on Sunday.

Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery at Martinsville.
