Jerry was the neatest guy to be around. He was always so happy and fun. If you were having a bad day, just his big smile with braces enlightened your day! He is sadly missed. Susan Burkett FrentzTracy Denney (Martin)
I was in accounting class with Jerry. He was always clowning around...actually I think he spent more time in the office than in accounting class (grin). The funniest memory is of his yellow hat with a big red siren....anyone else remember that? Something tells me Mrs. Pruitt will never forget it or Jerry!Shannon Barnett (Wilkerson)
I had Jerry in a few of my classes. He was one of the most honest and sweetest guys I knew in high school. I remember reading about his death in the Reporter and I cried. He was too young and never got to really live.Shannon

I remember hanging out with Jerry quite a bit. I was best friends with his brother Jim and those 2 were CRAZY. I have kept in touch with Jim (he goes by Mason now)and will never forget him calling me crying that Jerry had died. It was such a shock because I hadn't known he was sick. I will never forget his mischievous laugh and smile.Bradley Fox
Anyone remember the time he pissed in the pringle cangoing to terre haute football game when bus broke down
and he threw it out the window and it came splattering
back in the open windows behind us

I knew Jerry for most of my life. My mom & his mom were best friends. I spent alot of time at the McMurray house growing up. We took alot family vacations together. Jerry was a troubled young man & didn't have the best home life. Anyone that just knew him from school knew him as a funny outgoing and even pretty mischevious at times. I feel Jerry did the things he did, getting in trouble at school, playing tricks on people, this was a way of hiding his real life from the world. I loved Jerry, I considered him my brother, along with his other 4 brothers. Jerry was a diabetic, and alot of time he didn't take care of himself like he should of. There was so much more to Jerald Allan McMurray than what alot of people knew. When God took him from us, he took a wonderful human being. Jerry always referred to me as his Sis. What an honor it was to have the pleasure of knowing you bub. Love your sis, Tish
