Kenneth Draper

After high school I stayed in Martinsville and worked for Pannill Knitting Company until I was hired by the Martinsville Fire Department in 1983. I earned a degree in Fire Protection Technology from Guiilford Tech in Greensboro N.C. in 1990 and slowly worked my way up the ranks of the fire department until I was appointed Chief of the department in November of 2007. I retired from Martinsville Fire & EMS January 1, 2016.

I have two children; Cody, who graduated from M.H.S. in 2009 and is now married and living in Winston-Salem N.C.. They have one daughter. He played football and soccer in high school and is an Eagle Scout. Sarah also graduated from Martinsville High School in 2013, she is a sophomore at P.H.C.C. and plays soccer for them. Sarah graduated from Radford University May 2019. I'm very proud of both of my children and their accomplishments!
