Will be there - what time is it and do we just rock up or pay in advance? If so do you take Aussie currency?
Jamey and Mike better be coming! And Mallorey too!
I need some details thanks!

Hi Sandee,
I'm not sure how long you've been out of the country, but lately there have been many changes to America's financial structure. Aussie money is widely accepted now as common form of currency here in the U.S. If fact, I went to Jack-in-the-Box the other day and they had printed in big bold letters on their door stating 'AUSSIE MONEY ACCEPTED HERE'. Circle K, 7-11, Walmart...they all accept Aussie currency. I tipped a waitress the other day in Aussie money. I paid the IRS last year in Aussie currency. My employer pays me in Aussie currency all the time. Did you know that Aussie currency is the universal money used amongst 1st world nations in ALL their financial dealings? Aussie currency is sort of what like what gold was back in the day. It's amazing.
If I were you, I'd stuff a suitcase full of Aussie currency and bring it with you to the United States. Fly straight into Michigan with it. DON'T BOTHER GETTING IT EXCHANGED. You won't have to. Don't bother getting a reservation for the reunion either. Just show up with a bunch of Aussie currency. You'll be just fine. Rich Warner

Any more details on the reunion???

07/20/09 11:31 PM #16

Melanie Leavitt (Weiss)

Keep an eye on your snail mail...a flyer is being sent this week. August 8th at Fore Lakes. Boat ride August 7th at Huron Lady. The cost is $45 per person. We really need as many people to pay ahead of time but we will accept $ at the door (Sandee...pay at the door, you can get here faster than your $). You will mail a check to Jim Toth. His address is in the flyer. I think it starts at 7...all the info is in the flyer. If you don't get a flyer by Friday email me at melanie_ebw@yahoo.com and I will give you the details. Dress code is dressy casual. We are doing everything we can to make this FUN! Come with your friends, your spouse or yourself. We want to see YOU! Spread the word!

Although I won't be able to attend, I just wanted to say Thank You to Melanie & Keith for putting the reunion together. I also want to Thank Jim & Dar for the Huron Lady boat night cruise, which is really nice of them to put on. Anyone else who was in involved too, I want to Thank. I appreciate all your hard work in orchestrating & organizing all that you had to do in order to make this reunion work. Your efforts are to be applauded and I am sure it will turn out to be a wonderful weekend for all in attendance. I'll miss seeing everyone - so enjoy for me too!

Tina Schwab (Brodersen)

Thanks to all that have put this reunion together. Sorry I can't be there to join in the festivites. We are going to Connecticut for Grandma Brodersen's 100th Birthday on August 8th. I thought a 25 year high school reunion made me feel old, but a 100th Birthday-wow!
Have a great time everyone, sounds like a blast. I really wish I could be there, would love to play golf if I was able to come. Have fun;
Tina

I was looking so forward to attending as I have missed the other reunions. I am in a state finals for tennis this weekend so I will have to miss again. It would be great to see everyone again. Have a great reunion and thanks to all who worked on putting it together!

I can't believe how old some of you look. Jesus Christ. No wonder 70% of you refuse to post pics. The Marysville teaching staff past and present won't be proud. Geez, I can't help but wonder whether some legacy's will be tainted. God forbid.

Hi Everyone.....
Thanks to Dar & Jim for the FANTASTIC Huron Lady Cruise! It was awesome!!! When I asked Dar if he ordered the weather for the night, he said yes and told me he requested it a couple weeks ahead of time....so If you need outdoor weather to be good for an event...Dar has the connection!!! Seriously, thanks to both of you...I haven't had that much fun in a long time!!!

Thanks to Melanie, Jim, and Dar for putting on the reunion also. If you couldn't come, we missed you. We had a great time, even with our little crowd. If you want to see pics of the boat ride and reunion go to my facebook....sallie smith epley (yellow sweater w/flower) and I will add you to my friends list so you can see them. Again, Melanie, Jim and Dar....you out did yourself....the food was awesome, the DJ was excellent......Nice Job!!!!

Can't wait til the 30th....maybe more people will come and more of us can help out in making it happen. I know....God willing.....I will surely help out!!!

If you would like to send a donation, please make it payable to the James Beesley Benefit Fund and send it to Carol Shafran at 1018 Cedar St, Port Huron MI 48060.  Every penny counts!
