My memories of Tracy was one that happened just a few weeks prior to his death. He was an applicant at the hospital in the department I work. I interviewed him for the position, but we also had a very nice conversation while he was there. He ended up not being my choice for the position, but he called and talked to me a few more times. I was shocked when I found out he had passed away.
The thing that I remember most about Tracy was when he got an afro. He let it grow so long that when he walked it would part down the middle by itself. For some reason I called him Casey Tupp, I'm sure that Terri Spangler had to have had something to do with that! I remember how he would smile when we yelled "Hey Casey" as he walked into Study Hall.
Tracy passed away on June 9, 2004 at the family home. He was survived by his wife, Starla Horne Cupp and father James Allen Cupp.

RIP Tracy. I always remember throwing bamboo spears at each other and practicing our "Kung Fu" (like the TV series) in middle school.
