Thanks, Kay, Diane and Susan. I am right partial to little Ellie! Yes, I took the picture. Emily's mother-in-law took Ellie to a professional photographer in Nashville last Christmas and the photos were not nearly as good as what I took at the house. So, Emily hasn't had the baby to a professional since then. The price is right for my photos, too! For anyone who does want a great photographer for weddings, children's photos or family gatherings, Hope Photography based in Maryville is, in my opinion, the best you can find. I don't know the Web site right off the top of my head, but you can do a search for Wes Hope or Hope Photography (hopefoto sounds right) to see his portfolio.

Everyone be careful out there today. The weather is truly frightful.

Roger we missed you too. Hopefully after the holidays people won't be pulled in so many directions and more people can come by for a visit. We do have a realy good time. I think Jonathan has a good time even though he is the only guy there and has to put up with us and our chit chat....

Jonathan, hope you got the time off you wanted.

I am anxiously waiting for little Lydia to get here. They are coming in tomorrow night and will be here until the 29th. Needless to say I am ecstatic.

Got a text from Susan at 1:36 a.m. this morning that she made it to Dubai. Roger, there are people who are up the with chickens, that would be me.

Glad someone else is up. It gets kind of lonely that time of morning. I always look to see if anyone else is logged on.

Susan: glad to hear that you made it safely to Dubai.

Heading off to my extended family Christmas at noon. Hope all of you have a blessed day!

Hey Roger & Diane....a "night" person here....at 4am in the morning, you won't find me doing anything but sleeping! :-) I was wondering if everyone would like to tell something about Christmas that was pretty common when you were growing up in those wonderful 60's & early 70's! For me, I remember each year, we ALWAYS had a real tree....my father thought artificial trees were just a horrible thing. So, every year he & my brother would drag in this huge, beautiful, great smelling Cedar tree. We decorated it with those big Christmas lights that everyone use to use, bells, and paper decorations that my brother & I would make. Oh, & we never forgot those "icicles" to throw on the tree...remember those??

God Bless everyone as we celebrate our Savior's birth this year!

Well this morning person is on at 4:00 a.m. this morning. Little Lydia got to my house about midnight, I played with her, fed her and she went to sleep about 1:00, me about 1:30 and then I got up at 3:30 to get ready for work. I had a nap earlier in the evening.

I know this will date me but I don't care, you are all the same age. We used to get a stocking ( the biggest sock we could find in the house) in the morning "Santa" left us an orange or tangerine, an apple, some nuts (shells on) orange slices and a piece of stick candy. Now some people spend more on the stocking gifts than the do the actual presents....

It was great catching up with everybody this year and hope to do it more in 2009. This should be a blessed Christmas.
