Welcome to 2010 Bulldogs. Hope everybody had a great Christmas and a safe New Years Day. Hope we all can get together this year. Think about it and give some feed back. Everyone be careful and safe and remember to let us know if you need prayer or help. I'm sure our classmates are willing to help. God Bless. Mike T.

Hey everyone....I hope everybody had a great New Years...I was blessed enough to celebrate with two great high school friends! Would anyone like to get together for dinner next Thursday night (Jan. 7) at Applebees at 7:00 pm??

Happy New Year to all my Classmates!

I had a lovely visit with my twin boys over the holiay. They flew in and spent Christmas with us.My father is still hanging in there at 79 - he was the biggest kid on Christmas Day. I took some great pictures (not as professional as Linda) with him and all his Grandsons - no girls - what is up with that!

Hey Pickle, I am all for getting together, but Thursday is not a good night - off to see the Lady Vols play basketball - that is all Kenneth wanted for Christmas!

Hey Bobby, you own a business, you are a responsibly citizen of Maryville - maybe you can "make" the paper in the Lady's Times! Come on - Let's see if we can get Bobby a feature article in the paper! All in favor, call or write our favorite Daily Times Person!!!!!!

Once again, let us reflect on the loved one we have lost and rejoice on the ones that still surround us! Thank you my "EHS" Friends! Sandy

I've not been on the site in a while ...let's see--Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year ...I hope all had a wonderful holiday season. My neighbors still have the holiday lights on with Santa's landing strip still lighted--at least the spotlights are off--ha ha ha

The terrorists are at it again... there was prediction of huge snow coming this way. The entire middle TN area took heed---supplies of milk & bread have flown out of the grocery stores & schools were closed (announced yesterday by noon)with expected storm arrival by midnight. This morning I was quite dissapointed to find no snow, no snowflakes at all---by this afternoon we had a faint dusting of snow & schools are closed again tomorrow ---I'M LOOKING FOR SNOW!!!

On a more serious note, my family was saddened over the weekend with my daughter's miscarriage. She was 9 wks pregnant, & uneventfully lost the baby---emotionally we were all a wreck; for whatever reason I will never see or hold this sweet child that will never be on earth. Tiny baby/fetus is safe & protected in the arms of Jesus

Pat, so sorry for your loss. This hits home with me since I am expecting my first grandchild in June.
Congrats to Linda Braden on becoming Mamaw to a beautiful healthy baby boy, Seth!

Pat - I am so sorry to hear about your grandchild. Yes, you will hold this child in Heaven one day, but I know that doesn't take the pain away. I will remember you & your daughter in my prayers!

Hi Pat, I truly believe that your grandchild is in the arms of Jesus and He is giving it all the love it needs until you and your daughter are in heaven to relieve Him. Bobby Ithought you were going to run for mayor. I was all set to vote for you. Sandy S. Dockery congrats on the new grandbaby.Little Eli is growing like a Weed. Can we meet some Saturday for dinner because it hard for us who work evenings to get a chance to meet with everybody. Let us still remember Mark Stering's family in our prayers. The first year is always the hardest. Keep thinking about getting together this spring or summer alot of our class mates didn't know about the web sight or reunion. Well, I've talked to long. God Bless and Love to All.

FYI

Smokies Awards $24.7 Million Contract for Next Phase of Foothills Parkway

Officials at Great Smoky Mountains National Park have announced that

the Eastern Federal Lands Highway Division has awarded a contract to Bell &

Associates Highway Construction of Brentwood, TN to design and construct

the next section of the uncompleted Foothills Parkway. The contract was

awarded for $24.7 million, with the funding being provided by the American

Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), to design and construct the 800

foot-long bridge # 2 on the eastern end of the unfinished Wears Valley to

Walland segment of the Foothills Parkway known as the “missing link”.

When completed, bridge # 2 will be a graceful, elevated roadway that

forms a serpentine curve and will be supported by four piers up to 100 feet

above the ground, as it carries the road across two ravines on the south

slope of Chilhowee Mountain. It is the longest single bridge needed to

complete the “missing link”. Work on the new bridge is set to start on

January 15, 2010 and is scheduled for completion in November 2011.

“Many people are familiar with the iconic Linn Cove Viaduct that

carries the Blue Ridge Parkway around Grandfather Mountain.” said Great

Smoky Mountains National Park Superintendent, Dale A. Ditmanson. “This new

bridge is very nearly as long as that structure and likely to become just

as note-worthy.”

Anyone remember traveling from Chilhowee Lake across the Foothills Pkwy. over to Walland when we were in high school? I use to love that....could look down on Maryville & see our wonderful town.
