Wow...I did not know Donna was sick either. I just hate to hear that. And I talked to Danny recently about his mother's passing...so sad. Also for those who may have known her, one of my best 'growing up neighborhood' friends passed away recently. She was suddenly struck with cancer & died only a few weeks afterwards...Darlene Garner, EHS class of 1974. I will miss her...have so many unbelievably funny stories of when we grew up. Okay, on to more happy things....spring is here, God is in control, and there are many many things to smile about. Love to my EHS friends!

I did not know that Donna had been sick, as many of us did not, and we don't usually know unless someone passes along the information. Thanks to Joyce R for sending me the info that I sent out in an email to everyone. Again, if someone knows of a classmate illness, death or a classmates family member illness or death, send me the info and I can copy and paste it into an email and send it out to everyone in the class that has provided us the email address on our website. I don't know of any clique, this website is for everyone and I have requested many times that classmates send in info so I can post it and or send out an email to everyone....
Have a Blessed Easter and Diane have a safe and wonderful trip. Love to all

I went by the funeral home for Donna Hitson Miller today. I met her son Hank. He said that his mother had been sick for the last couple of years. Her passing was due to quote Hank, "her liver stopped working."

I just received an email from Mike Thomas saying the same thing as Danny Woods that he would like to be informed of classmates that are sick. Again, let me say, no one knew Donna was sick. Additionally, Donna had not completed a profile on the website. And again, let me say, if one is sick or has a family member that is sick, or if anyone knows of a classmate that is sick/or family member that is sick, go to my profile and send me an email. I will be glad to forward the information to all the classmates that have completed a profile on the website and have provided us with a an email address. Otherwise, how are we suppose to know? This website is for the classmates....

Susan is right, many times the only way I know someone has been ill is when the obit comes through at the office and either Joyce or I recognize the name, or when another classmate sends the info to Susan to distribute. I'm thankful for the prayer requests she sends to the classmates who have registered their e-mail addresses. It's a blessing to know when I have a problem or my family does, you are all here to lift us up. Thanks, everybody. Hope to see you at the multi-class reunion in June. Fix up purty, I'm sending a photographer if the time is open, and if not, I'll shoot it myself, Lord willing.

Dear Classmates

My prayers and thoughts are with everyone. Hope all is well. I know that Diane Welch is having a blast on her trip and will have wonderful stories to tell us all!

Susan D. Thank you for all that you do to keep us well informed of all our classmates and their families.

Danny Woods, know that you are in my prayers and thoughts!

Linda Braden, call me at 209-4792 about my Dad. I sent an email, but for some strange reason it came back undelivered. Possibly because I sent it from work.

Pray for me, my son, Taylor has moved home with Kenneth and I for a while till he gets back on his feet. While I love having him here in Tennessee, it is a big adjustment since he has been on his own two years at
college. I am also in the market for him a girlfriend, preferrable 19-21 years, fine Christian girl that I would approve of!!!!!!

Take care my friends, and remember Be Happy!

Sandy, prayers are sent for you. Love

I also did not mean to sound like I was being disrespectful or anything when I used the word clique.I guess I just meant that I am not on the message forum a lot and I do not hear from a lot of you but then I guess I didn't know a lot of you that well. And the people who do try and keep in touch with me are not usually on the message forum either. One you might want to think about lost her brother when I was in just 3 weeks ago or around that time. Angie Holly lost her brother in a tragic accident that I know she is still trying to deal with. I have not heard from her since right after the accident but she said she deals with it by staying busy and helping his children I suppose .I know she had to do a lot of tax work for them right after her brother died. So keep her in your prayers. God Bless and I will give you a yell or something when I get the time Mike. Not trying to hide from you just busy right now trying to sort some things out. Danny

My prayers are with everyone...and I don't just mean that generically (is that a word?!). I believe in prayer (because I've seen the results of it!), and I love that we have this site to pray for each other.

Sandy Whaley - you tickle me...advertising for your son...you remind me of myself!! Hang in there...my son is 30 and only in the last two years has he finally found a really good girl..smart, pretty inside & out. Before that?? Ugh.... :-)

Diane - you had to go to China to find someone shorter than you, didn't you?? Well..ummm...maybe I should go too! :-) So happy you are getting to love on that grandbaby!

What would we do without Susan J.???? She makes this site and much more happen for us!! Even if her hair do loouuk ridicut (okay, sorry...that last part is a private joke that she will get)...

Love ya'll!!

Thanks, Bobby, for the reminder to remember each other in prayer every day; not just when something goes wrong.
Pickel - I thought Darlene Garner was in our class until I looked it up. I think she was at a friend's mother's funeral just a few weeks ago. I met her sister who said she was there but I didn't have time to find her and chat.
SWB - We'll all be on the look-out for a great girl for Taylor.
Everybody stay safe and enjoy this beautiful weather.

Hey Joyce - oops...maybe there are two Darlene Garners?? This Darlene had no siblings and grew up in Eagleton on the circle that the Junior High (and now Eagleton School) was on. So she didn't have a sister. I grew up with her from preschool on...she lived across the street from me. In middle school days, all of us kids in the neighborhood would plan to sneak out of the house in the middle of the night (during summer) and 'borrow' tomatoes from gardens & have a tomato war! It was so silly but fun. Darlene & I would be covered in smashed tomatoes..we usually lost the war. We would laugh until we cried...she was wonderful. Many, many memories with her.

The one at the funeral must have been someone else then. The sister (I think her name was Karen) just said we went to school together so I assumed that was the one I remembered. I know the one in the paper was the one I remembered. {Does that make sense?}
I will try to check it out later.

Is there anybody out there? It's been 17 days since anyone has wrote on the forum. I just thought I would ask and see if anyone was still interested in talking with old friends. Has anyone heard from Diane W. I was wondering when she is getting back from China. I've seen some new classmates visiting the web sight but have not filled out a profile. Please fill out the profiles I'm sure people would like to know what's been up with you all. You have to talk to me but it would be great to hear from you all.  Take it easy.

Hey, Mike, I noticed the big gap.  Everyone for awhile was talking and then nothing.   I just wanted to say I, too, appreciate Susan's job of keeping us all informed.  Thank you Susan.

It is so sad to hear of the one's that we have lost over the years, but we have to live this life like the Lord intended us to until He takes us home.  Praying always.

Diane Welch (Welch)

I am back from China in one piece. The one thing I can say is that no matter what your political views. Be thankful you live in the USA.  I have lots going on the next six weeks, my son getting married.  Maybe we can get together for something this summer.

Thanks Everyone for your support.  It is my pleasure to keep everyone informed, but the thanks really goes to all of you who let me know when a classmate/family member is in the news (L&J at the Times, who usually knows 1st)!  I just pass it on as the website allows me to send one email to all classmates at the same time.  PS  Have u noticed the music doesn't just play on the home screen anymore?  And you can change font/color/size!  ....Love you!

Anyone interested in dinner at 6:30, Wednesday May 19th at Ruby's please post a response by Wednesday morning.

Also we are talking about doing a bring your own picnic on either July 1st or 2nd at maybe Everett Park. Rental is from 3:00 until dark.  Just thinking nothing definite yet. We know everyone can't be there but maybe we can do another in the fall.  When we decide for sure Susan said she would put it on the website and we will put it on FB and Classmates.
