Hello, Bulldogs.  Thank you for all your prayers on my behalf.  My heart has been in rhythm since February so I'm thankful. And a big thank you to Susan the VEE for keeping us informed.

Hello, classmates. I hope everyone is doing well. We are all so busy it's hard to keep up, but please know I appreciate each of you.

Linda, I'm so glad you're better. Hopefully we can chat at the next get-together, whenever that might be.

Now, Sandy, don't rule out the 29-year-olds. My best friend's son is married to a woman about 10 years older than he is and they are very happy together. She had five or six kids when they married and now they have three or four of their own. Wouldn't you love to have that many grandchildren all at once???

Keep up those prayers! Love to all.

Hi everyone, Glad to see people on the forum again. Hope all are having a great summer and staying cool. Just wanted to remind everybody about the the reunion planned out at Hertiage on the 29th of June. Hope to see alot of you out there. Maybe we can make plans for our class to have a cook out or something. Put your thinking caps on and gives us some ideas. Well, I know you don't want to  hear from me so I shut up for now. Everyone be safe and have a good summer.

Linda Porter....so happy you are doing well!!  I hope everyone is enjoying the spring weather (okay, summer weather).  I love warm/hot days & peaceful summer nights.  Ya'll should visit the mountains as much as possible during these next few months. We went up on the NC side the other night & looked out over Newfound Gap...nothing but a landscape of stars and the bright beautiful moon. Once you get out of the city lights, it's nothing but amazing. You stand there, and ALL you hear is the soft wind blowing through the trees, and maybe a critter or two scrambling in the woods below.  If the moon is out, you can see the majestic outline of the mountains when you are up that high.  God's handiwork is truly great.  We also saw two foxes along the dark road as we drove.  I love my mountains.....many of us have fond memories of spending time up there with our family & friends as we 'grew up' during our good ole EHS days!  Get out & enjoy!

Hey,Mike just thought I would say hello.Have a lot going on in the next six weeks although I am not sure anyone will be glad to see me when I move back down there.Things are going to be tight for a while so I am not to sure when I will be able to do much but survive anyway. But things will get better as I have to find work or hope someone leaves me a few million or I win the lottery which will be hard since I don't play it.But I am sure God has a plan for my life and it will work out just fine .God bless and I will try and get in touch when I get there.

Hey Classmates!

I have reserved a picnic spot at the Everett Park Red Barn for Friday, September 3rd, from 3 -8 pm for anyone that wants to come.  Nothing fancy, bring your own picnic dinner and chair, banjo, harmonica, water pistol, whatever.  We are just going to hang out and enjoy each other's company.  Hope to see you there.

We talked about doing something on the date of Friday Sept 3rd.   Kathy Phillips reserved a place at Everett Recreational at the barn but has not paid.  We are planning a get-together for that date, bring your own food and chairs like we did at the 25 year and we will provide updates as they come about. Nothing big. Come as you are  from 3:00 until dark.  Please let us know if you plan to attend.  Thank You,  Diane Welch

ooops.... posted this before I saw Kathy's post, but it doesn't hurt to have many  messages.....Yes, am glad to see classmates on the website and forum.  I will get the website updated soon.  Have been busy for the past 3 months with different projects going on, so if you know of things that need to be updated, please let me know.  One is to remind classmates if you change your email address, go to your page and update the email address so you will continue to get emails about classmates and events.  Love you....Susan

Hi Danny and everyone else, Sorry I haven't got back withyou before now Danny ,but my computer went down and I'm just now getting back up and running. I know what you mean by being busy. My  mom had to have surgery so I have taking of her. I'm sure that our classmates  will be glad to have you back in this area. I know I will. I look forward to renewing our friendship and building  a better friendship. I feel the same way about not being wanted. I have tried to let our classmates know that I amthere for them both phyically and spiritually, but I get no response. You willalways be welcome at my home anytime. To the rest of the class I may not be as educated as some of you are,but I know who I am and who I belong to and where I'm going when I die. I answer to HIM and to HIM alone. If I have wronged anyone please email me so I can apologize and ask your forgiveness. Looking forward to seeing you Danny. Mike

Hey Mike. Sorry to hear your mom has been sick. You are a good son to take care of her.  Seems like all of us are taking the responsibility of taking care of our parents like they took care of us when we were young. I am blessed to still have my mom but she seems more frail every day.  My mom is doing better after the death of her husband.  You keep saying nobody reaches out to you. You need to explain what you are talking about.  Must have been some miscommunication or something.

Danny glad your moving back to Maryville. We are having a get together in September watch the posts for updates.

Well my daughter, son in law and little Lydia were here for my son Josh's wedding to Brandi. It was awesome, the visit was way too short but it was awesome having my kids together again. Now one is in China and one is on his honeymoon in Mexico.  What's a mom to do but clean out her nest.

Sandy Smith Dockery- congrats on your granddaughter. You need to post some pictures here like on Face book. She is a doll.

Hope everyone is enjoying the hot summer (well not officially until the 21st).

God has been good to me and I do the best I can with the cards I have been dealt just as we all must do.  We have made it this far. So everyone buck up and come to the reunion in the fall.

Hi everyone, I guess I need to make myself clearabout my last posting. All I am trying to say is that I want you all know I'm there to help when needed. GOD gave the spiritual gifts of mercy ,service and exhoration. It seems to  me that some do not want help  when needed or they don't think I'm good enough. I just want to be helpful and use the gifts  GOD gave me. Congrats Sandy D. om your new grandbaby. I don't know of you knew this but Ben and Rachel are going to have a baby girl. You talk about excited grandparents that Vickie and Larry. Please understand  everybody  I'mjust trying to do Like my LORD  has commanded me. I love you all and I want to serve where I can.

Hey Mike Thomas - maybe we can put a stop to you feeling like no one cares about you, or whatever it is you seem to be feeling.  I can see from your postings that you have a big heart for others, and although I really do not know you, you seem like a very nice guy.  But, buddy...you're in your fifties now....and no one is going to really reach out to you unless they are a good friend or your family.  We have FAMILIES....that is who we reach for in times of struggle.  Not necessarily a classmate that we haven't spent time with in 37 years.  No matter who they are.  That's just life.  Move on, and enjoy it.

Hello Classmates, I don't get to this site often anymore but want to share our wonderful news with you all.  My son and daughter in law made me a grandmother!!! on June 16th.  Virginia Ruth Dockery was born.  She is just a little one, 6 lbs., 10 oz. ~ 19.5" long.  She is a ray of sunshine. I will get to keep her 2 days a week while her mommy goes back to work.

Gena had Little V in a birthing pool at home.  there was the mid wife, assistant, dula and her mom and sister that came in and out.  the rest of us set up camp under the trees in the front yard.  it was really a great atmosphere at 2 A.M. under the old oak tree praying for Gena and the Baby.  after about an hour we got to go in and bond with our little girl. and i just haven't had enough of her since. haha

congratulations Jonathan, isn't it wonderful being a grandparent?

thanks Mike and Diane for posting about my grandaughter.  Mike, i think its great that Benji & Rachel are having a girl this time.  and yes, i bet Vickie has already started shopping.:)

Be sure to check out my little darlings photos on my profile!

Well, I have a new employer. The Daily Times has been purchased by Jones Media, which owns The Greeneville Sun, the Athens paper, and several others around East Tennessee. I am cautiously optimistic. At least this group is based in East Tennessee and not Washington State.

Congratulations with all the new additions --and to answer the question, NO! none of us are old enough to be grandparents, but we've got plenty of love to share with the sweet little babies

Congratulations to all you grandparents!  Hope all of you have a wonderful holiday weekend. Linda, hang in there.  I have a difficult time with change. I obviously spoke too soon about my heart.  I have developed a racing "flutter" that is in a different part of my heart.  A few people who have had the surgery I had last summer have developed this.  I'm going to have an ablation to hopefully correct this July 27 at UT.  I've had ablations before and it's not bad.  It's very similar to a heart cath, and I will only be there overnight.  Please continue to pray for me.
