Bio for Edward L. McCammon
President, The Winning Team, Inc.
Edward (Ed) L. McCammon, is president and chief executive officer of The Winning Team (TWT), Inc. In this capacity, McCammon oversees the strategic direction of the Western North Carolina / East Tennessee, $31 million company operating as a Franchisee for the Arby’s and Bojangle’s Brands.
TWT is the twelfth largest franchisee in the Arby’s brand, and is recognized as a leader in the system, with more than 700 employees and 35 locations. TWT received the “Innovator of the Year” award in 2008 from the Arby’s System for pioneering operational methods for better margins and facilities designs for reduced operating costs.
Elected by the Franchisee’s in the Arby’s System to the AFA Board of Directors in October 2008, McCammon continues to contribute to the direction of TWT, and also to the direction of the Arby’s System.
McCammon joined TWT in 1995 as Vice President of Research and Development. Over the next 11 years he developed computer-based systems for automating the data collection for increased accountability and better margins.
He also:
developed the first Arby’s System-approved convenience store and restaurant (combo) building to provide more opportunities in expanding the brand
designed and oversaw the construction of 25 new locations with continued cutting edge designs for energy efficiencies and initial cost savings.
Prior to joining TWT, McCammon owned and operated MC Consulting, Inc, operating as a consultant to Commercial Nuclear Utilities, Department of Energy, and Department of Defense, with 20 years experience in the nuclear, electrical and computer systems.
McCammon has served on the board for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of WNC, is a member of Vistage International and the American Nuclear Society, is a sponsoring member of Arby’s Charity Foundation, and is a licensed pilot and snow skiing enthusiast.
McCammon firmly believes that “Nothing is impossible because the impossible only takes a day or two longer to accomplish.”
