After graduating from Iowa State in 1993 I was a nanny for an opera singer in a suburb of Chicago. I was fortunate enough to travel around the United States and Europe with her and her son. During that time I also received my Masters Degree in Education. I was a computer teacher at an independent school for 10 years. We moved to Charlotte and lived there for two years. My husband worked at Bank of America as a computer programmer and I taught 5th grade. Even though we loved the weather in North Carolina we were eager to get back to Chicago.
In August 2008 I moved back to Chicago to teach 4th grade at the same school I was at before our move to Charlotte. Steve followed me in March of 2009. He is working for a trading company writing trading software. We are both very happy to be back in Chicago. I really excited to be closer to my family.
My husband and I will be married for seven years in December. We do not have any children, however our cat is very spoiled.
