Now retired, living in Clear Lake, IA and currently serving as member of the Cerro Gordo County Planning & Zoning Commission. The most distinguished honor of the Iowa College Media Association is named the John Eighmey Service Award given annually to ICMA members "instrumental in advancing the quality of media education in Iowa." Proud grandfather of four fantastic grandsons.
