Great Meeting on Saturday Jason, I only wished that some more of the Mathis Gang, could of been there.

I also want to remind everyone, we still need your money, not everyone has sent money in, things need to be paid way before the reunion, PLEASE SEND IN YOUR MONEY, we looked at our funds this weekend, NOT GOOD.

Everyone that hasnt already sent in your money, we need you to do it asap, so that we can continue planning this event, and make it enjoyable for everyone.

Can you let us know how much money has been collected thus far?
What's the projected amount that the reunion will cost? It's right around the corner! Does it look like we'll need to change our plans?? How many people have actually mailed in funds? I know that many of us have submitted different amounts.....I know that I did because it's not realistic to think that an entire family can have a 2 day party for $50. What do you think about setting a deadline to have all monies collected? I can help call/email classmates who have indicated that they will be attending but have forgotten to mail their money. I'm sorry that this great thing you've done for us has become so stressful! We'll just have to drink a lot with you that weekend to help you relieve some of it! Thanks to Chris and everyone else who is working so hard on this!

Wow....so I just got a detailed email from
Chris concerning our monies. It's not going to happen unless we all come up to bat. I think that as hard as Jason has worked organizing this, he is still reluctant to ask for more money since so many haven't mailed theirs in yet. Can everyone who has already sent I their initial $50 please put another $50 in the mail? It may sound like a lot, but expenses are adding up fast. Chris has actually chipped in 4times the requested amount and a few others have sent $100 plus. Time is running out and we are not even half way there. I'm sorry Jason and Chris that I may be stepping out of line in asking for more money since I haven't been very active in planning the reunion. It's just so disheartening to know that you're not getting what you expected based on the initial responses.

Last night I sent a detailed email of all the breakdown to everyone. If you did not receive it, I also posted it in the left side category under **Reunion Site**
When I first started this whole reunion thing, all I got back was positive responses on how everyone was willing to participate. Yet many are not doing their part to make this happen. I know that things come up and you are not able to make it. That is fine. But for those of us that can make it, please do your part. It is going to take the effort of all of us if this reunion is going to be a success.

I apologize for not reporting to yall soon, but I have been very busy with my job and my family. I spoke to Jason last night and told him I'll be sending my part and some more money friday. This is the second time I had a chance to look at the reunion site since he started in the begining, the place looks very nice and I can not wait to see everyone and bring back good and crazy memories when we get together. Hey guys, I think Michelle just had a baby not very long ago. She may still be in the overwhelmed stage and not aware of what is going on. I saw Grant at Gus's sister's wedding a few years ago and he didn't speak much to any of us. Gus may be your best bet for getting in touch with him. I hope plans are coming together for the reunion. Still sick that I can't be there. Please post pictures of the event. I'd love to see everyone again, even if it is through pictures.

Weird about Grant.....I tried to add him as a friend on facebook but I think I got shot down! LOL I haven't seen him in about 8 years. We used to hang out a bit when we lived in Houston...????
Hopefully someone can get in touch with Michelle.
And once again....I can't believe that you're not gonna be there Carlynn! Bad timing sucks! We'll have to have another get together soon. If anyone is interested, we can get together in Surfside Beach this summer(it's about 40 miles south of Galveston). I can accommodate about 25 overnighters.
PS Marlo is expecting her first! SO excited! I'm gonna be Aunt TonTon!

Tonya, if Grant is for sure on FB, someone can send him a message without being added as his friend. The details of the reunion and the website address can be given to him that way and then the ball will be in his court to respond (or not). If Grant's not on FB or doesn't check it often, I know that Scott, Grant's little brother, is on - his name is always in my "suggested friends" since we have several mutual friends. Perhaps sending him a message through there asking him to notify Grant about the reunion and giving the website would work? That's how some of my brother's HS friends have tracked him down - by sending me a random message since he's not on FB. I think that, besides what Chris has done and unless anyone knows where Grant's dad is now, this would be the only other thing I could think to do...

The reunion is still on!!! I just hoped that we could have collected more money. It is still not too late to send in your money. If you are going to pay the day of the reunion, let me know so I can mark you down. As of now it looks like we are going to do a lot of pitching in between all of us. I just don't think that it is fair for some of the people who paid more than others to have to pitch in, when they made the effort to send their money. But enough venting, I am going to make sure that this reunion is going to be a success. No Matter What!!!

Hello everyone,
Monica, Jason, and I have been talking about the kinds of activities that we wanted to have for the kids. With the weather being as hot as it is we figured water activities would be good to do. I know that the lake is right there but if we put out a couple of pools, slip and slides, kid sprinklers, water squirters, etc. we won't have to be too far from each other and still have a great time.
I am taking a small pool that I bought. I found some cool water squiters at the Dollar Tree along with a water balloon game. We may have to take some hoses also. I know that everyone wants to have a great time and in order for that to happen our kids have to have a great time.
So please start looking around your house/garage for some slides, sprinklers, etc.

As you all know, the reunion is just days away. I hope to see a lot of you there. For those of you making the long trip, please be safe on the road. In our past couple of meetings, we have all come to the same conclusion. If everyone could please bring a case of water. It is going to be hot, and everyone will be thirsty. Of course, since we did not collect the initial money that we expected, you will have to provide your own beverages for your family. For those of you that only paid your first portion, you can pay the rest when you get there. That is the money that we will use to purchase the food. If no one pays, then it looks like pizzas and sandwiches all weekend!
