MHS Class of 2001 Memorial Donations

Dear Class of 2001,

I will be traveling to Iraq in late December or early 2012 to document the remedy mission to provide Iraqi children lifesaving surgeries, and to provide critical training to Iraqi doctors and nurses. I would like to raise $670, the cost of one surgery, in honor of Amanda Manos, who was one of my best childhood friends. As most of you know, Amanda was a very talented person who wanted to make a difference in the world, and I would like to fund a surgery to save a life in her memory. However, because many of us have lost our friends and classmates throughout the years, I would like to give our class the opportunity to make donations in honor of those friends and classmates, too. Our friends and classmates have almost certainly had a profound impact on our lives, and we will never forget them. Your donation will go directly to fund a surgery for an Iraqi child – together, we can quite literally save lives in honor of our friends and classmates.

To donate, use the red box to your right. Once you have made a donation, please email me at rhysharper@gmail.com and let me know the donation amount and person you are honoring with your donation. When I travel to Iraq, I will be creating a special memorial for our classmates, and I will be sharing it with you all. I was thinking about writing names in the sand and doing landscape photographs with the names in the sand. If you have ideas, suggestions, or specific requests for your memorial donation, please include them with your email.

Thank you for helping to save lives in honor of our friends and classmates whose lives were lost all too soon.

Thanks,
“Rhys” (Kate Northern)
