Let's see...since I updated ya'll 10 years ago, we moved from Germany to Kansas, settled here in Derby. Al and I were divorced in December 2005 (juicy details can be found in my autobiography "Ya gotta Laugh" which hasn't been written). I received my BA in elementary education in 2003, my master's degree in adaptive special education in 2006, and have started working on an endorsement to teach reading. I get nervous if I'm not taking college classes. I teach at a middle school,have two teenagers, and am the volunteer assistant senior high youth director at my church. My students have been to known to brag that "We gave you your grey hair, didn't we?" At work, I am often asked to do a Minnesota accent. (Yah, fur sure).
My kids, Nick and Megan, are my joys in life. Nick is 17 and will be a senior. He has long hair, plays bass guitar in a garage band, and has my strange sense of humor. Megan just turned 16, can be very stubborn and argumentative with her teachers (just like Mom...)and is very social. They both want to attend Kansas State U.
I'm not sure how much longer I will stay in Kansas. I only get to see Marlene and Roland once/year, and have thought of moving back up to the frozen tundra, but my kids are going to college in Kansas, so I may need to hold off on moving.
