Vera (Raible) Bailey died on October 9, 1989.  She was 64.

Vera is survived by her son, Charles S. Bailey and wife Joyce Dill; daughter Jennifer (Bailey) Ertmer and husband Marion Ertmer; daughter Kim R. Bailey; granddaughters Amy E. Bailey, Wendy (Ertmer) Doty, and Kristin M. Bailey; grandsons Charles S. Bailey  III, Bradley J. Ertmer, Jason S. Bailey, Kevin M. Ertmer, Eric C. Bailey, and Nicholas S. Ertmer; great-grandsons Jackson R. Bailey, Quincy G. Bailey, Ethan M. Ertmer, Noah M. Ertmer, Samuel C.Doty, Brock C. Bailey, and Benjamin C. Doty.  She was preceded in death by C. Stanley Bailey in 1973.

A note from Vera's daughter, Jennifer:

"Our mother, Vera Agnes Raible, was born in Boston, PA, the youngest of 17 children born to Gottlieb and Anna Bach Raible.  She always spoke very lovingly and with great pride of her years at St. Peter's School.  I remember her telling me that the nun who gave her her diploma back on June 4, 1942, looked at her with tears in her eyes and said, "The last of the Raibles..." Although she's been gone for more than 25 years now, never a day passes that we don't think of her and how lucky we were that God chose her to be our mother!  She left us all too soon...although she lived to see all of her 9 grandchildren born (whom she adored!), she didnt get to watch them grow to adulthood, nor meet her 7 beautiful grandsons! We love you, mum!"
