Doug was dearly loved by many and especially those of us who worked with him at McKinney P.D. I had the joy of working with him at the Collin County Constable's Office here in McKinney for many years after that. He retired in 1999 and enjoyed about 8 years in retirement before passing away on April 20, 2008.

Doug Moody was one of the all time characters in law enforcement. His tales of working in Las Vegas are legendary. I do miss him, that's for sure.RIP Doug.

No one who knew "Uncle Dougy" could forget him. He was one of a kind.
He had worked so long in Las Vegas that he knew everyone and could set you up with
free rooms and meals any time you went. He and "Aunt Betty" were a couple we loved.
