"A second person injured in the May explosion of a gas pipeline in McKinney has died.

"Arthur Bryson, 57, died Monday in an acute care facility, the Dallas County medical examiner's office said.

"Workers accidentally ruptured a pipeline May 16 that leaked gas underground and into homes. The gas then exploded, destroying two homes and sending three people to the hospital.

"In July, 77-year-old Nancy Foster died. Raul Moreno was released to home care after spending about a month in the hospital, The Dallas Morning News reports in its Wednesday online editions.

"No homes were evacuated immediately after the rupture. The first call to 911 was made after the first of three explosions.

"The Texas Railroad Commission investigated and cited Atmos Energy and one of its contractors, M.J. Sheridan, for violations.

"Last month, a grand jury chose not to return indictments in the case."
