Gary, Butch Ford and I had a fledging rock and roll band in Jr. Hi. Gary was the bass player and Butch was the drummer. I did the 88's. Sorry to hear that he passed.
John Bruce
Never knew about your band endeavors. Really did not know Hutch was a drummer!
Mike Whitehouse
Gary also played bass for Don and the Demons, who played at many a high school function, dances and battles of the bands. Joe Copeland was also in that band as I remember. Gary and I hung out a bit in junior high. His older brother ran around with my older brother, Terry. That group, which included Benny Reed, used to cook up Chef Boy-Ar Dee pizzas in our kitchen on Howell street when they got in from a weekend night of carousing and drinking. The smell of what I used to call "Puke Cheese" made me think ill of pizzas for a long time until I learned better. Gary was a good guy. Not mean spirited at all. Sad. My memory isn't what it used to be, so if I have any facts wrong, someone please correct me. i won't be offended.
Pam LaFollette (Hill)
Gary was always a very friendly guy. I remember that cute smile . Rest in peace my friend.
