Wow! I'm really very sorry to hear this...I had been meaning to call and check on him over the last few months...shame on me for not doing so. Jackie and I lived on opposite corners of a block, he on Church and myself on Kentucky street, and spent quite a bit of time together in our "growing up" years. Rest in Peace friend...you were a good one.
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of classmate and friend. I have some good memories of Jackie Lynn. We will keep Jackie's family in our thoughts and prayers.
Jackie was quite a competitor. He was a quality runner at the tailback position on our Lions football teams, and he was a key member of our relay teams in Track, sleek as an antelope. He was a lot like Walt Garrison, tough as boot leather. I truly enjoyed having him as a teammate.
I was overwhelmed with shock and sadness when I saw this a few minutes ago. Jackie Lynn was a dear friend from elementary school, throughout Jr. High, high school, and for many years afterward until I left McKinney in 1978. One of the highlights of going to the reunions was seeing Jackie and others that I consider lifelong friends even if I don't see them often. I pray that Cinda and the rest of Jackie's family are comforted in the good life Jackie led and the many friends who mourn his passing.
