Comments:
During my senior year I was able to get a position with Richardson Corporation, a large construction company in Greensboro, as their designer. (Unfortunately, I lost out on a lot of our senior activities and contact) I continued with them until 1984 as Lead Project Manager and went with Koury Corporation for about a year, but then went back with Richardson Corp. as Manager of Construction until 1988. I started my own architectural design company (McRae & Co.)in July of '88 and have designed and managed mostly high end homes and commercial projects all over the southeast. I married Gail Whitt(Eastern Guilford) in 1980 (she went to Northeast Junior and we had a lot of the same friends, but didn't know each other, thank God!)We have just celebrated our 28th! We have three great kids, our oldest, Daniel, is in the construction industry. Our middle son, Devin, is starting his Junior year at UNC Charlotte and our daugher, Deah, is starting 8th grade at East Forsyth. We moved to Kernersville in '84, moved to Walnut Cove in '93 and moved back to Kernersville in '99. We lost our new home to a fire on Christmas Eve '99 and have rebuilt and resided here since. Even with life's difficulties, we're healthy, together and enjoying our family, a lot to be thankful for!
