Wendy,

I checked my notes from Kayla at Longhorn BBQ.  The only item with gluten are the rolls. Looking forward to seeing you!  Kelly Hooper Wilcox

I know nothing about the pies if they are gluten free.  Nancy or Craig's wife may know.  Kelly Hooper Wilcox

Wow, what wonderful responses and such a helpful team of people you all are!! Many thanks for all the helpful comments!! I will avoid the roll and enjoy the BBQ meat (and skip the pie, which I sure don't need anyway!!). And I'll buy our tickets now! I had started to but didn't know which meal to buy. Thank you!!

I reached out to Melissa Canfield Chasan -she can't attend due to a trip with family. She said she would pass on the link for signing up to Julie Cozetto.

Hello Class of 77,

I don't know if this is the correct place to send a message to you all but, Go Panthers and have a great reunion. Thanks to all who are organizing and cleaning up!!!(that is always thankless, right?!) So, this is a bad weekend for me to leave home as the whole world might be coming to Bend, Or. to see the solar eclipse....I'm staying put. Even to fly in would probably be crazy....that said, I hope everyone is well, enjoying life and we will see each other in 10 more. If you get to Bend, Or or know someone wanting to visit please pass on my new bed and breakfast place which is at my home so it would be a nice place to catch up!

creeksidestudiobend.wixsite.com/creeksidestudio

I'm still active, teaching Art Middle School 28 years now, raised 2 great kids and both have moved to Spokane....Cally going into Nursing working for Providence, Will traveling and doing photo shoots for the skiing industry and outdoor deals. I'm living happily ever after in Bend, Or. and still keep in good touch with Beth, LeeAnn, JoAnn, and Kim.

Take Care Everyone and send me a note ----- Most Sincerely,

Marcy Feagans-Monte

Hey all--Lyle, Mark Roberts, Gary Fickle and Ted Wise have all been contacted multiple ways. Larry Rubens is working on Gary. Cheryl McLinden, Teresa Eberth and Julie Cozzetto have indicated they are not interested in attending. Almost all missing classmates should have received at least a snail mail invite from Kris Scott Taylor, although some addresses may not have been up to date. Of course we hope even more classmates will come, but we have spent a lot of time and energy looking for folks and we know that they MUST know that it is their 40 and if they want to come, they will no doubt reach out to someone to find out what is happening!  I am so looking forward to seeing people! It's going to be a great party! Cheers, Mac

Hi friends!

Are any teachers going to be invited to the reunion?  I would love to see Carla Nuxoll and I think there are a number of others who were on yearbook staff who will be attending. I have no idea if she still lives in Spokane.

Looking forward to catching up with everyone!

Yes!  Ed is going to get in touch with a few, and Nuxoll is on my list to find!  Do you have any contact info for her?  I used to run into her now and then...I will also check with Mike Fleming as he is at Big Barn a lot and I think he said he sees her...Also: Mr. Toutant lives near you and I was going to ask him.  I may have contact info for Mr. Squires.  Any others you can think of that we may be able to find?  Any help is appreciated!

Jeff Rahn gave me this info for Carla Nuxoll:

Carla Nuxoll (James Brakeman, husband) 1308 N. Vista River St., Spokane, WA 99224, (509) 326-0545.

Paula:  Paul Dixon registered and is coming--he is our Benny Dixon!  So he can be taken off the missing list.

All:  others who have said they are not interested in coming are Phil Gady, Sandy Findlay and Dave Rogers.  I spoke with Rena Pauley and she was going to register.  I believe Toni Mantese was going to contact Bill Egger.

I just got this in an e-mail, considering the upcoming festivities ...........

"HAVE YOU EVER BEEN GUILTY OF LOOKING AT OTHERS YOUR OWN AGE AND THINKING, SURELY I CAN'T LOOK THAT OLD! WELL...YOU'LL LOVE THIS ONE.

MY NAME IS ALICE SMITH AND I WAS SITTING IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH A NEW DENTIST.
I NOTICED HIS DDS DIPLOMA, WHICH BORE HIS FULL NAME.
SUDDENLY, I REMEMBERED A TALL, HANDSOME, DARK-HAIRED BOY WITH THE SAME NAME HAD BEEN IN MY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS SOME 50+ YEARS AGO.
COULD HE BE THE SAME GUY THAT I HAD A SECRET CRUSH ON, WAY BACK THEN?
UPON SEEING HIM, HOWEVER, I QUICKLY DISCARDED ANY SUCH THOUGHT.
THIS BALDING, GRAY-HAIRED MAN WITH THE DEEPLY LINED FACE WAS WAY TOO OLD TO HAVE BEEN MY CLASSMATE.
AFTER HE EXAMINED MY TEETH, I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD ATTENDED MORGAN PARK HIGH SCHOOL.
"YES. YES, I DID. I'M A MUSTANG," HE GLEAMED WITH PRIDE.
"WHEN DID YOU GRADUATE?" I ASKED.
HE ANSWERED, "IN 1962. WHY DO YOU ASK?"
"YOU WERE IN MY CLASS!" I EXCLAIMED.
HE LOOKED AT ME CLOSELY.
THEN, THAT UGLY, OLD, BALD, WRINKLED, FAT ASS,
GRAY-HAIRED, DECREPIT SON-OF-A-BITCH ASKED ME,
............ "WHAT DID YOU TEACH?" ........"

Erin Riley

I'm so sorry that I am not going to be able to be there this weekend.  I have very much enjoyed looking at profiles and hearing from and about some of you.  (Nancy, I have especially enjoyed some of your posts and facebook page and it made me remember things from elementary school that I haven't remembered for years).  Please tell everyone that I am alive and well and wish I could be there.  Thanks, Erin Riley

I want to extend a special "thank you" to the organizing committee for a GREAT reunion.  We know what it takes to put on an event like this and you all did a wonderful job.  So good to see everyone and catch up.  I still have a smile on my face thinking about all of you - we are a good crop as they say.  If anyone comes through Montana I expect you to drop me a note and perhaps a visit.  la_hubbard2@msn.com.

Lanny,

I think you were one of the best things about the reunion! So many of us had not seen you in 40 years! It was a blast. And thanks for the kudos. We had a great, diverse group with excellent combo of skills!

I would like to "2nd" the kudos for the organizing committe. Things like the reunion don't just magiclly happen. It takes a lot of work and time, so a very hearty "Thank You"!

I had more fun than I've had in ages getting to reconnect with all of you!  My heart was touched by so many of you.  I wish it wasn't another 10 years before I get to see everyone again.  I'm so grateful to all of you who put your time, talent and hard work into making it so special...you did an AMAZING job! THANK YOU!

Jenny Clark (Coles)

I would also like to thank all of the planning committee members for theIr hard work - it really paid off with a great reunion. Fun to catch up with so many and pleased and proud to be considered one of the Mead '77 grads.

Thanks, Chris, Kris and Jenny!! I LOVED seeing each of you and to see how much fun everyone had. The plan is to do one every five years now as is traditional with reunions after the 40. We are just plain getting old so we don't want to wait too long!! I most likely will NOT be involved in the next one, and I don't know which of the committee members or anyone else had decided one way or another. The beautiful banners Kris Taylor had made and anything else reusable will be stored and available. A magical weekend, for sure. We truly have a very special class!
