Troy Diehl passed away July 1, 2008 at the age of 28. He will be greatly missed. The following is the obituary from "The Register Herald"

Troy Matthew Diehl



Troy Matthew Diehl, 28, of Meadow Bridge, W.Va., died Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at his home.

Born on April 24, 1980, at Lewisburg, W.Va., he was the son of Tammra Diehl of Meadow Bridge.

Mr. Diehl was a graduate of Meadow Bridge High School, where he played on the football team. He was a graduate of Valley College, where he earned an Associates Degree in Business Science and Administration. Mr. Diehl was currently employed by Telespectrum.

He enjoyed playing basketball, taking care of his grandparents and spending time with his friends.

He was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church on Springdale Road.

Mr. Diehl was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Darrell Diehl.

Surviving other than his mother are his maternal grandmother, Shirley Barrett Diehl of Meadow Bridge; uncles, Terry Diehl of Columbus, Ohio, and Darrell Diehl Jr. of Green Sulphur Springs; an aunt, Joan Barker and husband, Ed, of Prosperity; a cousin, Tara Arias of Columbus, Ohio; and several other cousins and many friends.

Graveside rites and burial will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Beckley with the Rev. Les Mullens officiating. There will be no visitation; however, friends may view at the cemetery.

Friends and family members will serve as pallbearers.
