Some other teachers/coaches I know of that have retired: Diana Sink, Archie Wilborn, and Mickey Walker. Mrs. Sink is enjoying retirement from the school system and ARMC, formerly Alamance County and Alamance Memorial Hospitals. Mr. Walker, who helped Mr. Wilborn to bravely teach us how to drive!!!, is enjoying retirement at the beach. I work with his daughter, Raney. I occasionally see Mr. Wilborn sitting in the Wal-Mart entrance in Mebane while waiting for his wife, as he says, and he looks the same, and seems to be doing okay. Tal Jobe is working on grounds maintenance at Wake Forest University, and loving it!! I talk/correspond with him several times a year, as he was a member of my church until he moved. He is doing great, and enjoying being a Grandfather!

The last I heard, Mr. Perkins was at Southern.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

Hello, Carmen-Alyce!
Hope that this finds you doing well. I have tried twice to respond to your email re: rescheduling the reunion, but they have both been returned to me. Hopefully the third time will be a charm!
First, I want to THANK YOU for all you have done and are doing to get this together. I cannot imagine how many hours of work, stress, and prayer you have put into this. I for one really apprecitate you and all you have done.
I was so saddened and sorry to hear that the reunion had to be cancelled, but thankful it is rescheduled! Jim and I are definitely planning on attending, and will do our part.
We were out of town two weekends ago, and I did not see the email re: payments due until last Wednesday, 8/26. I am computer-illiterate, and I was waiting for a chance to get Jim to help me to make the payment online. Plus the deadline for payments stated in the email was Sept. 5th, so I thought I had another week. The email announcing rescheduling the reunion stated that the deadline was last Friday, 8/28. If I had known that, I would made a better effort to have my payment in by then. I know the reunion is not rescheduled just by me not getting my payment in, but I am one of many, and it affected the outcome.
But, like you said, this will allow more time to get the word out, get payments in, and find more of the missing classmates. I have addresses of some of them, or at least their parents' addresses, so I will help out there as I can.
The plans that you had listed for the two days looked great, and we look forward to doing it in the future!! I will continue to check your messsages, respond and do my part to make sure this reunion takes place. We look forward to catching up with you and many others!
Take care and God Bless!
In Christ, Jane Holt Bailey

Hello, Wendy Williams Yoder! I responded to you also on Friday, but it did not go through, which I learned yesterday. Hope you are doing well. Jim learned Friday that he got the job as Coordinator of Youth Ministries at First Presbyterian Church in South Boston, VA, so we are excited, but at the same time saddened to lose him from Mebane Presbyterian. Our Pastor commissioned him during the church service, with the laying on of hands by elders of our church, which was sweet and meaningful. I will stay at Mebane Pres. and look forward to the days that he can be there as well. It will take a long time to get used to our attending different churches, but we know God will work it out, for we feel this is His plan.
Look forward to talking to and seeing you in the future! Thanks for your message!
In Him, Jane Bailey
