Married Reenie Flanagan 😊 summer of ’68. Army service '69-'71. Two-yrs state-side duty at Devens. Kicked off my professional career in ’71 at a start-up in Westford developing fuel cells for e-vehicles. Moved on to Polaroid in ’73 for what became an engrossing 25-yr career in R&D, prod mgt, and bus dev & strategy -- from instant movies in mid '70s to cell-phone cameras late '90s plus dozens of mainstream projects in between. Left Polaroid in ’98 (just in time) and returned to start-ups including a very early "IoT" venture in ’00, and e-publishing and delivery systems into the mid-'10s. Retired happily in '14. Now it’s all family, grand-kids, arts boards, hiking, trails work, travel, skiing, cooking. How did I ever find the time back then for a JOB?

As a commuter, Hillside House was the center of my student life at Tufts and it has produced a life-long cohort of solid friends from across multiple class-years. The social environment was diverse and creative, and it got me hooked on guitar and '60s folk/rock to this day. Weekend evenings jammed into the HH living room (or basement) making our own live music (with lots of sing-alongs) -- and often cooking our own food. Remember the night of "The Great Blackout" in ~Oct 1965? A bunch of us "took refuge" on the lobby roof of Carmichael and did a pop-up concert (acoustic-only ... in the black-out). And speaking of concerts, we had them everywhere -- on the steps of Goddard Chapel, to Club 47, to Cohen Auditorium: Tom Rush, James Taylor, Simon & Garfunkel, and the list goes on...😊.
