Tamer Tewfik

Went to college at the University of the Arts in 1989 graduated with Bachelor's in Music in Piano '93, graduated Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) '94. Taught in the Lower Merion School District for 5 years and developed a school assembly entitled simply, "The Jazz Assembly" I left teaching in 1999 when my district told me I could not perform my Jazz Assembly concerts in schools. I accepted a full-time music gig playing on stage for a show at the Claridge Casino in Atlantic City called "The All Night Strut". Eight shows a week. Moved to NYC in 2000. Left after 9/11 where my wife almost died.

My experience in recording allowed me to begin working as an audio engineer for film and television with Jay O'Hare (best friend since HS). Subsequently, Jay and I started a video production business (www.sqproductions.com) where we produce commercials for television and the web.

In the last 20 years I've recorded 4 CDs and have few websites about me or my music and video businesses. A lot of it has been documented in videos that are in this profile. Thanks for reading up on me. Hope to see you in April.

Freshman year, having to wrestle Randy Whorle (sp?), who ended up becoming NJ State champion, since I was in his weight class. Not only did he kick my A$$ but he plucked my eyebrows after getting me in his choke hold.

Anyone remember when I sat on a pencil in 5th grade? How about me breaking a window in Geometry class with my text book?
