Julia McDonnell Powers

I moved to California in my senior year of high school, graduated from Palo Alto High School. I went to UC Berkeley for 2 years and then Arizona State for 2 years where I graduated with a degree in business. I've had my own business for 24 years. I have a gardening service and do landscape design.

Update: Letting all my employees go, am cutting back to working myself 3 days a week. Will spend more time with my grandkids and we are building a house in Santa Clara to sell so I can be more involved in that project. We hope to semi-retire near Lake Tahoe in 1-2 years.

My good friends were Hope Kessler, Anne Richardson and Lisa Quigley. We did a lot of folk dancing at Swarthmore College and played our own unstructured brand of soccer. I worked at Wolff's Apple Orchards and still have many fond memories of my time there. I'm very sorry to hear of Peter Wolff's passing.
