OBITUARY FOR WILLIAM "WINGO" SMITH

July 23rd, 1961 - September 1st, 2017

William "Wingo"Smith grew up "salty" in Indialantic, spending time fishing, surfing and sailing. He was a natural athlete playing sports at Melbourne High School and ultimately playing basketball for the University of Virginia. He worked over thirty years at Cape Canaveral, most recently as a Principal System Analyst and was highly respected as a problem solver, continually challenging his co-workers to reach their full potential. Wingo was always up for an adventure and planned family outings and trips that will long be remembered. To his family and friends he was devoted and loving. There will an Open House to celebrate Wingo's life on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 3pm-6pm at the family residence, 442 St. John's Drive, Satellite Beach, Fl.
