“Leave No Man Behind” is a creed and ethos often repeated
and adhered to by various units and soldiers of the US Military.
After a conversation which lead to reviewing previous posts and
the combined graphics folder of military members, I must
acknowledge the omission of two great soldiers from the
Military Appreciation Month website postings. As Mother
Angelica has stated; There are many who are not guilty of doing
anything wrong but very guilty of sins of omission - the things
they neglect to do - the good things - the kind, thoughtful words,
compassionate thoughts and hopeful attitudes they might have
had towards their neighbor.
retraction[r?'trakSH(?)n]NOUN
1. the action of drawing something back or back in.
2. a withdrawal of a statement, accusation, or undertaking.
I’m very guilty of the sin of omission and for that reason, I
post this retraction for correction. A graphic was created, but
wasn’t included within the tribute to class members. Jerry
Hosey and Tommie McKinney served honorably as
members of the US Air Force. Let us celebrate and appreciate
their contribution as representatives from the Class of 1970.
Thank you Jerry and Tommie, on behalf of your BTW Class of
1970 classmates. If anyone knows of members who served, but
were not acknowledged, please let me know. My apologies
gentlemen...stay safe my friends....
