THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

My definition

of an intellectual

is someone

who can listen

to the William Tell Overture

without thinking of the Lone Ranger.

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

If evil be spoken of you and it be true,

correct yourself,

if it be a lie,

laugh at it.

~ Epictetus ~

Evil, runnin' through our brain,
we and evil's about the same.
Bad blood through our body flows,
where's the love nobody knows.

Beauty in our face you see,
tryin' to hide all our misery, but
Evil, runnin' through my brain,
we and evil are about the same.

Evil... in our life
Evil... causin' strife

Lookin for a place to guide a little light
in our souls and minds
Maybe if we learn to pray
life would lend us sunshiny days.
And evil runnnin' thru our brains
turn to love and won't be the blame.

Maurice White & Phillip Bailey

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

We don't have to be perfect today.

We don't have to be better than someone else.

All we have to do is to be the very best we can.

Begin at once to live,

Avoid miscommunication.

The price you pay for it is horrendous.

It is better to be

honourable

than be honoured.

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

But let there be spaces

in your togetherness

and let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another

but make not a bond of love:

let it rather be a moving sea

between the shores of your souls.

 ~ Khalil Gibran ~

Our Lord has written the promise of resurrection,

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

The kind of people that all teams need

are people who are humble, hungry, and smart:

humble being little ego,

focusing more on their teammates than on themselves.

Hungry, meaning they have a strong work ethic,

are determined to get things done,

and contribute any way they can.

Smart, meaning not intellectually smart

but inner personally smart.

~ Patrick Lencioni ~

Call, text or send an email to Marino Hardy today....extend

HAPPY SATURDAY EVERYONE !!!!

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

Religion

is among the most beautiful

and most natural of all things -

that religion which 'sees God in clouds

and hears Him in the wind,'

which endows

every object of sense with a living soul,

which finds in the system of nature

whatever is holy,

mysterious and venerable,

and inspires

the bosom with sentiments of awe and veneration.

~William Godwin~

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

Every life is a profession of faith,

and exercises an inevitable and silent influence.

We only understand that which already is within us.

To shun one's cross is to make it heavier.

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

One of the greatest indicators

of our own spiritual maturity

is revealed

in how we respond

to the weaknesses,

the inexperience,

and the potentially offensive actions of others.

is not in the power of man;

but

from their errors and mistakes

the wise and good

learn wisdom for the future.

omission[?'miSH(?)n, o'miSH(?)n]NOUN

1. a person or thing that has been left out or excluded.

2. the action of excluding or leaving out someone or something.

3. a failure to do something, especially something that one has a

moral or legal obligation to do.

“Leave No Man Behind” is a creed and ethos often repeated

and adhered to by various units and soldiers of the US Military.

After a conversation which lead to reviewing previous posts and

the combined graphics folder of military members, I must

acknowledge the omission of two great soldiers from the

Military Appreciation Month website postings. As Mother

Angelica has stated; There are many who are not guilty of doing

anything wrong but very guilty of sins of omission - the things

they neglect to do - the good things - the kind, thoughtful words,

compassionate thoughts and hopeful attitudes they might have

had towards their neighbor.

retraction[r?'trakSH(?)n]NOUN

1. the action of drawing something back or back in.

2. a withdrawal of a statement, accusation, or undertaking.

I’m very guilty of the sin of omission and for that reason, I

post this retraction for correction.  A graphic was created, but

wasn’t included within the tribute to class members. Jerry

Hosey and Tommie McKinney served honorably as

members of the US Air Force. Let us celebrate and appreciate

their contribution as representatives from the Class of 1970.

Thank you Jerry and Tommie, on behalf of your BTW Class of

1970 classmates. If anyone knows of members who served, but

were not acknowledged, please let me know. My apologies

gentlemen...stay safe my friends....

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

Life is a succession of moments,

to live each one is to succeed.

Flowers grow out of dark moments.

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

The following terms all mean one and the same thing:

God,

goodness, mental health, truth, decency, happiness,

freedom, reality, peace, love, sensibleness.

People appreciate and follow the person

who can persuade them properly.

Make that person you.

~ Vernon Howard ~

As you enjoy the graces of a new morning, take time to extend

birthday greetings to Fred Hodges. Blessings will become a part

of your day Fred. As you celebrate and, may you have a

"Magic in the Air" that envelopes you and your family and

keeps everyone safe...enjoy your day....

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

Most human beings

have an almost infinite capacity

for taking things for granted.

There is only one corner

of the universe

you can be certain of improving,

and that's your own self.

Maybe this world

is another planet's hell.

~ Aldous Huxley ~

We define family in many different ways: not just by blood

but by people with whom we find a common ground and a

common bond. ~ Adrienne C. Moore ~

During your daily tasks today, take time out to extend a

celebratory birthday greeting to the last of our July birthday

family. Have a fantastic day Gwendolyn, Kenneth and Orva.

May each of you be bountifully blessed today and within the

days to come. May you have an Adam Hawley type of day as

showers of blessings are poured upon you, as you're asked "Can

You Feel It" by family and friends....enjoy your day and stay

safe....

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

It is a great consolation

for me to remember that the Lord,

to whom I had drawn near

in humble and child-like faith,

has suffered and died for me,

and that He will look on me

in love and compassion.

Just as people behave to me,

so do I behave to them.

When I see that a person

despises me and treats me with contempt,

I can be as proud as any peacock.

 ~Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart~

Make it your profitable habit

to carefully study

facial expressions.

You can see

the entire human drama

in a face;

you can tell its owner's history.

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

It's not to late to...

ask yourself

if you really are the person you want to be,

and if not,

who you do want to be.

It's not too late

to develop new friendships

or reconnect with people.

One hundred and ten years from now

no one who is here now

will be alive.

~ Morrie Schwartz ~

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

Let others lead small lives,

but not you.

Let others argue over small things,

but not you.

Let others cry over small hurts,

but not you.

Let others leave their future in someone else's hands,

but not you.

If you don't design your own life plan,

chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan.

And guess what they have planned for you?

Not much.

It is the set of the sails,

not the direction of the wind

that determines which way we will go.

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

Through loyalty to the past,

our mind

refuses to realize that tomorrow's joy

is possible

only if today's makes way for it;

that each wave

owes the beauty of its line

only to the withdrawal of the preceding one.

~ Andre Gide ~

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

Good humor

is a tonic for mind and body.

It is the best antidote

for anxiety and depression.

It is a business asset.

It attracts and keeps friends.

It lightens human burdens.

It is the direct route

to serenity and contentment.

~ Grenville Kleiser ~
