Proverbs 16:19  Easy-to-Read Version

It is better to be a humble person

living among the poor

than to share the wealth among the proud.

Humble souls are fearful of their own strength. It is not only our

duty to pray for others, but also to desire the prayers of others

for ourselves. Humility is a necessary veil to all other graces.

~William Gurnall~

"NOBLES OF NOVEMBER"

Another year, another challenge my friend. But, you need always to

remember to keep smiling, have a positive outlook on life, and

everything is going to be okay. Last month we celebrated Breast

Cancer Awareness Month and thanks to good people like you, so many

are able to continue celebrating birthdays. There's no word recently

updating your profile to indicate that you've retired from your mantle

as a Mammographer. You have literally touched the lives of countless

people and moved so many with your selfless acts. May your special

day be filled with happiness.

King Solomon, by virtue of the Easy To Read bible says "It is better

to be a humble person living among the poor than to share the wealth

among the proud." An English puritan, preacher and author, William

Gurnall stated that "Humility is a necessary veil to all other graces

and Humble souls are fearful of their own strength." Humility,

humbleness and fearfulness are all testimonials which comprise

your temperament. Should you choose to celebrate today, may it

become a joyous occasion that embodies every  compassionate action

you've extended to others.

I wish you a Kim Scott, Althea Rene and Ragan Whiteside

type of day. They're flutist with a lot in common. There's no video

available at the moment, but collectively they sound fearful, humble

and play with humility. Gurnall mentioned that humility is a necessary

veil to all other graces. In their version of "I'm Every Woman", the

cover lists a few other justifiable graces for you. As you wear your veil

of graces today, select all that apply to you and add them to those

already highlighted. Today you're Every Woman that you've

acclimated and trust that "It is not only our duty to pray for others, but

also to desire the prayers of others for ourselves." Some of those

women may also be celebrating you, because of you....Enjoy your day

and stay safe my friend....

For purposes of action nothing is more useful than narrowness

of thought combined with energy of will. Action is coarsened

thought; thought becomes concrete, obscure, and unconscious.

Thought is a kind of opium; it can intoxicate us, while still broad

that exists. There is no respect for others without humility in

It is our attitude at the beginning of a difficult task which, more than

anything else, will affect its successful outcome. Human beings can

THOUGHT FOR CONSIDERATION

Happiness

is determined by factors

like your health,

your family relationships

and friendships,

and above all

by feeling that you are in control

of how you spend your time.

Experienced happiness

refers to your feelings,

to how happy you are

as you live your life.

In contrast,

the satisfaction

of the remembering self

refers to your feelings

when you think about your life.

Nothing in life

is as important

as you think it is

while you are thinking about it.

The prism through which you experience life is so unique. There is no

objective experience. Always have an attitude of gratitude. Empathy

begins with understanding life from another person's perspective.

Nobody has an objective experience of reality. It's all through our own

individual prisms.

"AURORA AUSTRALIS OF DECEMBER"

Yesterday means nothing for some, tomorrow is the unknown that

rolls toward us, but today is everything, especially for those

celebrating the achievement of another milestone. Enjoy your

present today Lavone Cohen Baucha. Most of us know Sterling K.

Brown as Prince N'Jobu, the brother of King T'Chaka in Black

Panther. Though his character was killed on-screen, setting Erik

Killmonger's (Michael B. Jordan) villainous plans in motion, Sterling

sums up how we should maintain our present day experiances when

stating we should "always have an attitude of gratitude."

Gratitude allows us to celebrate the present. It magnifies positive

emotions.... Gratitude blocks toxic, negative emotions, such as envy,

resentment, regret-emotions that can destroy our happiness....

Grateful people are more stress resistant.... Grateful people have a

higher sense of self-worth.(Robert Emmons) I don't recall us crossing

paths back in highschool, but I'm grateful that we're members of the

greatest class to achieve the status of BTW Alumni. Gratitude allows

me to make that statement, although previous alumni would beg the

differ.

As you celebrate today, or choose not to, may the prism through

which you experience life, be blessed with continuous gifts of mercy

and grace. May you always have the light of gratitude, shining

within your prism. I wish you a Chris Standring type of day. Let

nothing interfere with your celebration of "Love and Paragraphs",

while you begin a new chapter in the book of life. May you experiance

and enjoy a unique day of "Liquid Soul"...you're the first of the

Aurora Australis of December...enjoy your day....stay safe my

Belated Happy Nativity Day to you Robert Phifer. Self-proclaimed psychic

and astrologer, Jeane Dixon, once stated "Our lives are programmed at

conception and are endowed with purpose and meaning." You've initially

reached the age of retirement and moreover celebrated another milestone with

purpose, decades after possessing the endowments programmed at

conception. That is, if you believe what pyschics have to say. If you don't, Paul

Twitchell, a spiritual lecturer and writer had something you might relate to,

concerning spiritual attitude and conception. Paul transitioned the year after

we graduated.

He stated "Our spiritual attitude is determined by our conception of our

relation to infinite spirit. Substance must emanate from spirit and is nothing

else than the record of the spirit's conception of itself finding expression in

space and time." Credit the renewed discussion of Roe vs Wade for words like

spirit, conception, birth, space and time as the reason they're prevalent in

numerous sources of communication these days. Equivalently, the widespread

prevalence of Covid 19 may have been programmed to occur sixty-nine years

after your conception. However, once again you were endowed with purpose

and meaning to become an overcomer, after your exposure and recovery from

the virus. The substance of our spiritual attitude from conception, has been

elevated because of this distinct incidence and our knowledge of individuals

affected by the virus, who are also overcomers or who transitioned.

Thank you again for your support during the transition of our first US Marine

family member. Semper Fi, Marine

The substance of our friendship has prevaled over the years and I commend

you for your gifts of an infinite spirit toward your classmates, your support for

our Alma Mater and the City of Memphis, as a retiree. Continue to elevate a

Peacekeeper mantra, whenever the space and time allows. Although the day

has passed, I know that you celebrate the entire month of December. I wish

you a Bryan Lubeck month of celebration. May you continue to maintain as

"an Invincible warrior" with a spirit, endowed with purpose and

meaning...stay safe my friend....

Everyone's got something that they've held onto from their childhood

or from a past relationship, someone who's told you what you are, and

it's leaving all that behind and living a happy life and realizing that a

lot of that is inside you - really uncovering that. The story - those

themes - are heavy themes that everyone can connect to. It's always

relevant - moving forward into the future and finding out who you are.

I think those themes never get stale. People all learn things differently,

and sometimes imagination isn't considered as useful a tool as it can

be in the learning process - especially in school in subjects like math

and science.

~Joshua Henry~

"AURORA AUSTRALIS OF DECEMBER"

Many happy returns to you David Stinnette. A birthday is just the first day

of another 365-day journey around the sun. God willing, you'll enjoy and

survive the trip. As we get older, we need to remember to cherish our laugh

lines and wrinkles. The memories that made those lines are the most crucial

part of your today. If you could go back in time to your favorite birthday, why

do it? The chance to have an even better birthday is today with the ones you

love most surrounding you. Do not count the candles but notice the light they

give, do not count the years; look at the life you live. (wishesquotes.com)

Joshua Henry said that everyone's got something that they've held onto

from their childhood or from a past relationship. I noticed that Jimmie Powell

acknowledged the friendship between himself, Fred Fullilove and you. That

happy life theme, of friendship, is always relevant and never gets stale. Often, I

refer back to a theme, our yearbook, to capture an image for the website or for

an email. Joshua indicated that people all learn things differently, and

sometimes imagination isn't considered as useful a tool as it can be in the

learning process - especially in school in subjects like math and science. When

I witness the individuals who surrounded you in the Trigonomentry Class,

The Math Club, The Most Likely To Succeed and Most Studious photos, I

daresay that I didn't use my imagination enough. Like many within our class, I

despised Math and Science, however it didn't prevent us from moving forward

into the future and finding out who we are.

As mentioned before, that story - those themes - are heavy themes that

everyone can connect to. Should you decide to celebrate today, or not, thank

you for being an associate of mine and a dear friend to others within our class.

May the benevolent gifts of manna and ambrosia continue as daily sustenance

for you and your family, as you begin another 365 day journey around the sun.

During your journey, may the words found in Romans 2:7 (NIV) sustain you

each day;  To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and

immortality, he will give eternal life.  I wish you a Freddie Fox type of day, a

day of "Limitless" blessings. May your journey through 2022 and beyond as

an Illuminating Southern Light be entitled "My Crusade"...enjoy your

day...stay safe my friend....

Be on the alert to recognize your prime at whatever time of your life it

may occur. One's prime is elusive. You little girls, when you grow up,

must be on the alert to recognize your prime at whatever time of your

life it may occur. You must then live it to the full.

~Muriel Spark~

"AURORA AUSTRALIS OF DECEMBER"

Here's to your good health Barbara Burks. Today may be the day you were

born, but it’s also the first day of the rest of your life. Make sure to surround

yourself with happiness and joy on your birthday. Let this day not only be a

reflection of your accomplishments of the past year, but also a day to look

ahead to what you will accomplish in the next year. Have a wonderful

birthday! Joan Nosal, an expert with a Health And Wellness blog entitled

"Your Tango" wrote the following; There are people that claim age is all in your

head, or that perhaps it’s an attitude of youthfulness that prevents aging from

happening.

Others say age is just a number and you're only as old as you feel. While all

of that may be true for some, the fact of the matter is that no one escapes aging

at the cellular level. It can be delayed, hidden, or camouflaged, but eventually

your cells will break down and the inescapable reality of aging catches up to

everyone. In the 1960's and 1970's, anyone over the age of 35 to 40 was

considered old. But now, anyone who is 60 or 70 years of age views themselves

as if they are 35 or maybe a 40 years of age. The Social Security Administration

(SSA) considers anyone over the age of 65 to be elderly, though others in the

U.S, and elsewhere have proposed that, given current life expectancy statistics,

that definition should be raised to 75 and up.

Competently, we've reached the elderly age group, according to the Social

Security Administration. At this point, I refer you to the quote by Muriel

Spark, for little girls when they grow up. "Be on the alert to recognize your

prime at whatever time of your life it may occur. One's prime is elusive."

Mentally, I've already raised the age to 75 and up, for us to be considered

elderly. I'm no Deion "Prime Time" Sanders, but Psalms 90:10 gives me

encouragement through grace and faith. My intent today is to celebrate you

and to alert you once again to Muriel's statement; one's prime is elusive when

you grow up, you must be on the alert to recognize your prime at whatever

time of your life it may occur. I wish you the blessings referenced in Psalms

90:10, so that you may continue to live your life to the fullest. Should you

choose to celebrate or not, I wish you a Phyllis Hyman type of day. It's

Throwback Thursday too. May you live today to the fullest, by

proclaiming the words, I'm in the "Prime Of My Life"....enjoy your

day...stay safe my friend...
