" HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THE BTW CLASS OF 1970 "

Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you riding through the ruts, don't complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don't bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality. Wake Up  and Live!

~ Bob Marley ~

Let us come together in the year 2014 to make plans for the

" 2015 Class Reunion " , as well as "Love, Respect and Communicate " with one another freely without hesitation.

Audrey Johnson (Johnson)

Happy Belated Birthday to all my classmates that I missed addressing this year.  I hope that all of you are doing well.  HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my classmates.  I sincerely wish all of you very good things in the coming year.  I also look forward to seeing many of you either through alumni meetings, activities or when some of you have visited me at work.  I am always happy to see any of my classmates anytime.  2014 will be a new year in which we have the opportunity once again to do "do overs".  We can strive to enrich the life of someone else. We can strive to work better with each other as classmates, to become one united group, to really benefit and honor the alumni we have chosen to serve.  My goal, for the New Year, is to stay in contact with as many of my classmates as possible.  Even if I email them and get no response, I will keep trying.  We each have something to offe.  We do not know what impact a simple phone call or a short e-mail could mean to a classmate unless we try.  I will keep trying.

Take care and stay safe.                                                                                                                 Audrey

"Life is a culmination of the past, an awareness of the present, an indication of a future beyond knowledge, the quality that gives a touch of divinity to matter." ~Charles Lindbergh~

Celebrate and enjoy your birthday this day, as you remember the past and express gratefulness for the present. As you are spiritually aware of the future days ahead I look forward to seeing you in the near future. It's time to prepare for our next class reunion!

Happy Belated Birthday to all that celebrated a birthday in December!

Happy Birthday to all of you that will celebrate a birthday in January. year 2014...WOW!!!!

I look forward to working with the class of 1970; we have shone that benevolence has a 'soft spot' in all of our hearts.  The Benevolence Committee, under the leadership of Lynn White (alias...Patricia Watson) will be reaching out to you to tap that 'soft spot' as we begin to focus more and more on benevolence...to ensure that our attention stays with bereavement but grows past that to recognition of life and all that life entails.

Your cooperation is needed to make sure that we have the greatest exposure to the needs of our classmates.  If we are aware then we can act.  So, let the Message Forum know...

Take care!  Happy New Year!

Mickey

"Expressing Condolences"

"Tears are sometimes an inappropriate response to death. When life has been lived completely honestly, completely successfully, or just completely, the correct response to death's perfect punctuation mark is a smile".  ~ Julie Burchill ~

Mickey, Ms Shirley Connor became your mother-in-law, and in her latter days , you unselfishly became her caretaker. I celebrate you for that tremendous expression of love and temperance. I didn't know her personally, but I'd have thanked her for her two sons Tommie & Astor, who became my friends and our classmates. Friedrich Nietzsche stated : "Let us beware of saying that death is the opposite of life. The living being is only a species of the dead, and a very rare species". You, my friend, are very rare indeed ! You will be blessed. Keep smiling.........

Cherlyn Harris (Conner)

I want to say thank-you to my classmates of BTW 1970!  Your showering of concerns, the cards, and help to me and my family will always be remembered.  I am so proud to be associated with a group of people that I know reach deep into their being and bring forth with giving arms all that they can do to help a fellow Warrior.  The form of your giving has ranged from well wishes through our forum, cards offering comfort, food for the repast, financial support to help defray expenses, and 1-on-1 conversations which have been all that was needed.

Remember, if I may ever be of assistance to any of you, please do not hesitate to let me know.  I will commit to being more proactive during this year to offer what services I can provide to help each of you individually and collectively.

Thanks a million!

Mickey

Patricia White (Watson)

Kenneth I am very sorry for your loss. I met your very large, beautiful and supportive family after the passing of your mother. It was obviuos to me that she has left a very wonderful legacy of love and taught all of you the significance of banding together. That in itself will help you and your family get through this and many other trials that are ahead of all of you. God Bless and know that I am thinking of you.
