That's beautiful Audrey and so true about Kat. She had such a wonderful spirit. I'll truly miss her.

Smiling and a positive attitude keeps you young, wrinkle- free and the stress of day to day living at bay (this is easier said than done, but we can do it - after all we're Warriors). We must all take the ultimate test which no one fails. So since we are a nation - let us all comfort each other when the need arises, laugh with each when hilarious situations are shared, remember all of our fallen warriors and the good times we had, but most of all love each other no matter what. GOD loves you and so do I.

Gwen

I'd like to thank everyone who has wished Marsha and I, a "Happy Birthday". We have experianced quite a bit recently and we've consoled each other in the process. I'd also wish to thank Norma and Carolyn for making sure that Kats passing was brought to the attention of the class. Norma, I love you and Carolyn, and it was not my desire to embarrass you or anyone one else. I simply wanted to make sure the correct information was presented, after talking to Kats sister Jean. The image above is my attempt to memorialize our friend. She was my home room member, my VICA Club member and most importantly, "Our Friend" !!!

Careful Mickie,

Flattery might get you a bouquet of roses. I appreciate your support for my attempt at the memorial to Kathleen. She was a tremendous friend and spiritual advisor of mine. A lot of my comments on the site were tempered by her thoughts, guidance, clarity and admonition. Truely she was a contrite spiritual being. To put it bluntly; in the words of Lucius Annaeus Seneca, " One of the most beautiful qualities of true friendship, is to understand and to be understood". Let me now where to send those roses..................wink

Hello fellow "WARRIORS," As the holidays rapidly approach I hope all is well with you! This has been an adventerous and prosperous year for us (BTW C/0 70). We have celebrated the Homegoing of several classmates as well as family members. However, from the words of the mighty Temptations, "After All These Years We're Still Here---- THANK YOU."  At this time I, along with the class would like to invite all of our family and friends to come out on December 20, 2014 and fellowship with us. The location is 1391 Ferguson, the Afro Police Assoc. Bldg. from 8:00 until. There will be food, fellowship, music and fun for the small fee of $15.00 per person. All who can, come and close out the year with us on a high note!!! I have communicated with several who stated that you would be there, hopefully I'll see others whom I have missed. In closing I would like to wish all of you  a warm and filling Thanksgiving, A very Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.

Just want to say Thanks to a couple great guys and classmates.  While I was in Ft. Worth Texas recently visiting my daughter and my soon to be two year old grand daughter. I Gave a shout out to Gary Hightower and Tilton Fosset to let them know I would be in the Dallas area for a few days. And they responded.  I want let these guys know how much I appreciate and enjoyed the time we spent talking about the pass and present times. It felt good to get away from the rat race, kick back, have a few laughs, enjoy a good meal, have a few drinks and talk shit with my boys.  I say to Jack and Tilton, fellows I can put another one in that Memory book of good times that I have.

Thanks again Guys

For those of you who may have been concerned, safe passage was granted, and I arrived in Raleigh, NC, without incident.

I cannot even imagine where I would be today, were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart  full of joy. Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun........ ~ Charles R. Swindoll ~

Thanks for the memories and continue to pray for "The Phifer Family".

Much Love to all of YOU !

Hello Classmates,

Let me be one of the first to come to the Web Site to say I had a great time at the Class Reunion. I want to first Thank Robert, Jackie, Marsha and Susie for their time and service in putting together this event. I must admit I did not think things would be so good this time for various reason. But I was wrong. As I refect on all the times we as classmates have gotten together we always have a good time.  And this go back to high school, and in some cases jr high school.  Friends like Lynn, John T., and  Larry Mells we go back to grade school. Class of 70 you guys are the best classmates a guy like me could have and I am always happy to see and talk to you. BTW class of 1970 you are the greatest class the school has ever had. Let's stay in touch and let's not wait for five years before we get together again. Why don't consider doing it once a month, or once every three months, or once every six month but not longer than once a year until the big Five Zero come around. It can be a gathering place and time for Worriors to stayin touch.  Who ever pick's up the Tomahawk to lead us to number 50 please consider this.

To a friend and classmate that I have known sence 1960 Robert Phifer, I want to say I am so sorry for your lost. We were like neighbors in the Garden your mom looked out for me like she did for all the kids on the street. I considered her a part of my up bringing like Ms. Jones and  Ms Charlene just to drop a couple of names. So know that my heart is with you and the family. Also thank you for your friendship through the years BRO.

To my fellow Warriors,

I truly enjoyed sitting around the camp fire and smoking the peace pipe with you this past weekend. Robert, Jackie, Marsha and Susie, thank you for planning and executing such a wonderful reunion. The food was delicious and band was the bomb!

Thank you, Kenneth, for providing a stroll down memory lane. It is wonderful to have such a historian to maintain our legacy. Without your pictures, many of us would not remember how “skinny” we were back in the day.

Robert, we are holding you in our hearts during this difficult time. Know that many prayers have been and are being lifted up for you and your family.

I can’t wait until the next opportunity to share love, hugs and create new memories. See you soon!

Estella

EXTENDING CONDOLENCES

For those of you unaware, another life changing event has occurred within the "Warrior Family". Sadly, I was notified this morning that  Mr. James Moten  Senior, has passed. As we pray for the "Phifer Family", let us also collectively pray for the "Moten Family".  "
