Hello all: This month frllowship is next Saturday March 25th. We will be going to the Paradiso Poplar and Mendenhall to see the movie "The Shack" starring Octavia Spencer. The movie starts at 1pm we are eating afterwards at Houston resturant. We are doing the Fun and Fellowship, 1^st Annual ‘ALL CLASSES’ Picnic, this Saturday in Martin Luther King Park.  The picnic is from 2p – 5p.  We need to represent…so, please come on out and represent our class.  Wear your school shirt…bring your lawn chair…be ready for some old school fun!

We are planning to get there earlier to set-up with a tent and grill (furnished by Larry Milligan).  If you want to put anything on the grill, bring
your own meat and charcoal. If not just bring whatever picnic food you want. We will put it all together and just fellowship and have fun.

Classmates, I will be in the park at 8 am to set up  for the picnic. The picnic start at 12 O'clock noon and people will be entering the park all day. So you may want to head to the park around 10 am. I have a large cooler to keep things cool, music will be playing so come on out and do like the Beverly Hillbillies (sit a spell).

We had a wonderful time at the BTW Alumni Picnic there was a true Warrior spirit all through the park. Many classes showed up and set up teepee's. The smell of good food filled the air, hot fish straight out of the grease it was some mighty fine eating going on. A twenty one gun salute to Larry for coming out early and getting things all setup. Thanks to Willie and Willian Arnorld for coming out to help him. You guys had our teepee right when we got there. Faye what can I say you are the best you are an honorary class member for sure. The oldest classes representing was 1952 and 1953 we had some young Warriors in the house also. We just had a right good old time good food, fun, and fellowship.

The BTW Class of 1971 Alumni group is hosting a bar-b-que cooking contest as a fundraiser for the school and they are challenging other classes to participate.  So, we are being challenged and you know what that means...we take on all challenges!  

We need to know your interest!  Please respond to let us know if we can count on you to participate.  You can respond to this message.  

Here is what we need your participation to do:

(1)  Help cover the $100 entry fee.  NOTE:  ALL proceeds, except for the cost of the trophies, go to the school.

The date is October 21st from 7am - 5pm.  More information and planning meetings to come.
