11/18/08 08:39 PM #12     Karlynne Washington (Dennis) Yeah Christine and Jamie (I'm glad we are on the same PAGE!)....A nice reunion does cost $$$, because you have to cover facilities, food, entertainment (among other things) at a minimum for 2 nights - that is our goal so it will likely be around $90 - but you will have months to get your "benjamins" together!!! I hope everyone else shares the same enthusiasm...people often want to get something for nothing, and that just isn't the case when it comes to organized event planning. But thanks for the support just continue to spread the word!

11/26/08 11:23 AM #14     Kim Morrison Zach, watch your words with that evil 3-0 number! LoL I do hope we're able to put on a lovely reunion for everyone. Due to financial & communication problems class of 1998 didn't have an actual reunion per say, but they still managed to get a good number of people together for one night downtown and it was really fun to see old friends again. As for the question of having a souvenir for our reunion, it sounds like a great idea, but I have 2 questions; 1) what might these souvenirs look like? I'd like to see what I'm buying first. 2) how much would this add onto the cost of the entire reunion? Considering the state of economy right now, people don't have much extra money, so although this sounds like a great idea, it is something that could easily be cut to save on overall cost. Just a few ideas to be mulled over. I know I've pledged to help out with planning Karlynne, but my life has been a little full recently. School has been doing its best to try to kill me and on top of that my Dad had a stroke about 3 1/2 weeks ago, which in the immortal words of Will Smith, "my life got flipped, turned upside down," and I've been in a whirlwind ever since. Hope the planning is going good so far, maybe I might be able to jump in at some point :/

11/27/08 12:03 PM #15     Karlynne Washington (Dennis) We will not know the cost (likely will not be more than $10 for a T-SHIRT)....until we have determined who all would like to purchase one....this is why we would like to get an estimate of who is interested. Once we arrive at that estimate we can determine the cost. This will likely be an additional item for pre-purchase, as everyone might not want to participate in purchasing whatever the souvenir will be. As an aside, there will be a class photo on Saturday night taken (available for purchase for those who are interested that night), as well as each classmate/ticketholder will receive an alumni directory as part of being a ticket purchaser.

Really, I don't buy t-shirts unless I'm actually going to wear them. That would just be taking up space in my closet. A mug, I could use; a picture, I could look at and reminisce. Who's really going to walk around in a t-shirt, advertising to everyone just how old they are? I, personally, would like to keep that a mystery. Besides, I'm only 23 ;)

So let's all help reach our goal of 15 tickets for February! Procrastination is no excuse, I'm the worst procrastinator in the history of procrastination and I've got my ticket.
