I moved to Atlanta my Sophomore year in high school. I went to the University of Georgia and majored in French Education. I transferred to Georgia State University my Junior year. I took some classes at the University of Paris in 1990. I got married in 1993 during the Blizzard of the Century. Mary Jane Hall Nailen was one of my bridesmaids and was pregnant with her younger daughter. I began teaching French in 1994. I've also taught Latin and Japanese. I worked with the Japanese Press in the 1996 Olympics. I took off 5 years of teaching to raise my two boys. I've been teaching middle school French at a private school in Atlanta since 2004. Both my boys go there, as well. I wrote a middle school French textbook that was picked up by a publisher (Teacher's Discovery). It will be a full curriculum available in Spanish, German and ESL, as well. The French textbook should be out Spring of 2010. I also do artwork as a hobby (http://butterflyart.wikispaces.com/). Memories: Mary Jane, Mary Jane, Mary Jane, passing secret notes, tampons in the toilet, freezing in a skirt during recess in the parking lot, making clay in art, Ronald Reagan being shot, having a huge crush on Michael Summerfield, winning 3rd place in shuffleboard, winning 3rd place in science fair, Michael LaPuente's rabbit blood sample science fair project, bowling, jeans day, newspaper recycling, Monsignor Clunan, Ms Swift reading us stories, Ms Enck (sp?) science class, foot long hot dogs, chorus, sucking at softball, cheerleading, doing random plays during recess and having it put to an end by some teacher when one was called "School Stinks", safety patrol, kick ball, Jiminy Cricket play, jump rope marathon, walking home after school to Mary Jane's house a mile away.
