Devin/DeeDee/Dixie Covington was an astonishing woman. Although she was only with us on earth for 21 years, it can NEVER be said that she didn't touch many lives. Devin was a brilliant student, loving daughter, sister, mother, and the BEST friend any person could ask for. She was the type of person that you never had to ask twice for anything. Devin(along with her whole family it seems lol) was such a giving person and loved to be surrounded by those she loved, and those that couldn't help but love her in return. For those of you that didn't know her very well, know that Devin had a magnificent spirit and personality. One of her FAVORITE sayings was "Did ya miss me"... The answer to that question is undoubtedly YES! Devin (our Dixie) is GREATLY MISSED and will always be with us in spirit. WE LOVE AND MISS YOU FRIEND!!
Devin Denise Covington was tragically taken away from us on December 13, 2002. She leaves behind a son, Donovan Taylor; a mother, Patricia Covington; a father, Tony Covington; a sister, Serita Covington; a nephew, Taylen Bacchus; AND A HOST OF FAMILY AND FRIENDS WHO LOVE HER DEARLY.

Hardly knew this part existed, but thought I would share a memory of Devin. At the lock in I was so tired and drained, I looked like a hot mess. Devin came up to me looking shocked and said "Brandy! You drunk?" then she smile. I always thought she had a warming smile, and I was like naw naw, and up until graduation, she would ask me every now and then was I drunk. Then smiled. I used to talk crap to her just to make her smile. Small memory, but still 1 I can smile about. She was a great person and I respected her, especially when she came back after having her baby and did her finals with out any complaints!!! And still maintained valadictorian status. That's when I was like, that's a bad mamma jamma:) Any who, after high school never really saw much of her, but I know that she was loved by a lot of ppl. So to all yall, yall know she smiling down on yall so stay up. Keep smilin Dev:) Brandy
Today would have been my girls 29th bday.. Hate shes not here to make it a (real) happy one, but we'll mos def celebrate her memory. LOVE YOU BFF and I miss you more than anyone can imagine. Right now I'm thinking about our last road trip, OMG, we put about a zillion miles on that po lil rental car LOL. Gotta love those memories!!!
