Renae Robinson Jones

I am the granddaughter of J.P. Lane(Mary Lane), who is the son of Jake Lane, one of the 11 children of Jim and Katherine Lane. My grandfather migrated to Dayton Ohio, from Stewart Ms. back in the 60's. J.P. and Mary Lane had 12, or 13 children. Girls: Ada Ruth, Willisteen, Bettie Ann, Jenell, Rena Mae Robinson, Myrtis, Ruby, Linda. Boys: Albert, Rockie, Harry, BB. I am the daughter of Rena Mae Lane-Robinson.

J.P. Lane, my Grandfather loved to communicate using his "CB" system when traveling from Ohio to Mississippi. I always loved to hear him talking to the truck drivers trying to find out where, "Smokie the Bear" (Police) was hiding. My Grandfather was a lot of fun. He even made his own "Moon Shine" and "Wine." He referred to other men as "ole cat" sometimes. He wore his hair combed to the back and always wore a nice hat. He had a wavy hair texture. I'm certain we have "Indian" in our family history. If anyone knows the history let me know.
