Rick was one of the more alive and entertaining friends I had. He would give me advice on life and regale me with stories of his successes and failures. When I first met him, I was stunned and charmed by his openness.
Our nickname for Rick was "The Trickster". I sure had alot of good times with Rick during high school. We double-dated alot. He was definitely a "Wilde Child". Sorry to hear he's gone; I wish he'd made the 50th reunion.
When I moved to Whitehaven in the middle of my senior year, 1965, Rick was one of my first friends. He was a joy to be with and always so much fun. We stayed in contact over the years and he was still the same ole Rick. He will be missed. Love you, my friend
i would say i was in a group of friends that rick hung around with. but, he was involved and interacted with everybody. i also ran around with him and a few other grads after we graduated. i always told him he should have been a used car salesman because of all the enthusiasm he brought to a lot of different situations. does anybody know what happened?
Phil, Rick died of kidney cancer. It had spread to other parts of his body and he was too weak to undergo chemo or radiation. You can see his obituary at
Rick had many nicknames from our group in high school. Trickster, Tricky Rickie, The West Wind...etc. He was a great friend and always good for a laugh. He was also my next-door neighbor and best man in my wedding. He will be missed.
