Menasha - Carol J. Chouinard, age 63, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, September 28, 2018. She was born on October 8, 1954 in Neenah, the daughter of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Fahrenkrug) Chouinard. Carol graduated from St. Mary High School in Menasha and later worked at McDonalds and Walmart. Carol was a huge Disney fan and also enjoyed bus trips and traveling with her life-long companion and sister, Debra. She loved her nieces and nephews dearly and cared for them as though they were her own children.
Carol is survived by her siblings: Debra (Harold Jr.) Gast and Denis (Lori) Chouinard; step-sisters: Judy Siefert and Sandy (Dan) Evers; nieces and nephews: Josh (Jaime) Gast and their son, Arion, Jeremy Gast, Jennifer (Mike) Winkelmann and their children, Milo and Emma, Jayme Gast, Bardha Gast, Hope Chouinard and her children, Jasmine, Zinnya and Dylenn, and Jolene Chouinard.
The memorial service for Carol will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Wichmann-Laemmrich Funeral Home (312 Milwaukee St., Menasha). Visitation will be held the night before from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and again on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

I'm sad to hear this. It sounds like Carol led a life of love and service in a remarkably sweet and gentle way. Such people are more necessary than ever, and I grieve the loss. Holding her family and her peace in my heart and prayers.

I concur with Kitty. The lives and depth of character of our classmates never ceases to amaze me. We really only scratched the surface of getting to know each other all those years ago. The world is a richer place because of Carol and others like her.
