We sold the family restaurant and sports bar September 1, 2010. Now I'm a Retired County of Maui Parks employee.

I've never been busier with Campaigning for Freedom, Justice and Democracy. I lead beach cleanups, feed the hungry and was encompassed with the Maui fires.

It is my 3rd season on the Adaptive Surfing World championship tour.



I was working in Antarctica as a Search and Rescue (SAR)/professional mountaineer @ McMurdo Station. Previously I was employed by Denali National Park as a Mountaineering Ranger in the summers & Professional ski patrol in the winter. During my father's terminal cancer I worked as a Federal Ranger at Haleakala NP in Maui.

Now a County of Maui Parks and Rec worker bee. Also owner of Aloha Recreation an International Guiding company of Surf, SUP, Hiking and Climbing.

Student Council Representative and eventual class VP. Lettered in Wrestling and Baseball(Braveland Conference Champs), snow skied and held a job.

Graduated from the University of WI-Madison in Adventure Based Counseling/Sociology/Criminal Justice. Attended graduate school at WI in Rural Sociology.

Graduated Federal Seasonal Law Enforcement Academy-Franklin, NC 10 years park ranger: Devils Tower National Monument, Rocky Mtn. Natl. Park, Denali,Glacier & Haleakala.

Many of my favorite school stories derive from getting a start at my house on a Friday night ! Some of them have to do with my grand folks cottage on Lake Winnebago or my Aunties ski chalet in Hurley !! Debauchery often comes to mind but many dreams and ideas were imagined there.

I would like to make special note of great people that I grew up with like Amy Amann (Aiken). We went from kindergarten to Grad School at WI together (very rare). Also my 1st girlfriend interest was Kristy Jansen in Kindergarten :). Mark Bertieri and I went all the way to graduate from Madtown too! I met my best friend Jeff Jensen at my 2nd grade bday party. Charisse Mattson was always a dear friend. Wendy Schmidt Mader and Debbie Fellenz were the best girlfriends ever !!! Jim Wiemer, Randy Adamski, Scott Ohrmundt, Todd Luedke, Jim Wellman and Dave Conine were a positive influence also. Thanks for the best class a person could ever have.
