Graduated from WSU in 1979; General Biology.
Graduated from St. Louis University School of Medicine; 1983.
Active duty Navy from July 1983 to June 2016.
Completed general surgery residency at the WRNMMC in 1989.
Held assignments as a general surgeon and Department Head of General Surgery at Naval Hospital Bremerton, WA and Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL.
Served as Director Surgical Services at Naval Hospital Bremerton; 2002-2003.
Served as Executive Officer (COO) of US Naval Hospital Guam; 2003-2005.
Served as Commanding Officer (CEO) of Naval Hospital Corpus Christi, TX; '05-'07.
Served as Commanding Officer of USNS MERCY Hospital for Pacific Partnership '08.
Served as Military Sealift Command Force Surgeon (Chief Medical Officer); 2009-2012.
Currently a staff general surgeon at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, VA.
Deployed to Afghanistan in support of USMC I MEF; 2014.
Beginning to search for my next career upon Navy retirement after 33 years.

My favorite memories were my close friends during my Senior year, in particular Lisa Rovin, as well as the MIHS Choir and Drama Club. I particularly enjoyed playing for 3 years on the MIHS Varsity Tennis Team. I will always remember Mr. Hall (Biology) and Mr. Mills (Chemistry). These two teachers encouraged and shaped my desire to pursue a career in medicine.
