Another Classmate has departed...Diane Bushey
DURHAM — Diane S.Perkins, 69, wife of Edward H. Perkins, died on Monday, June 4, 2018, at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Hardwick, Vermont, on October 18, 1948, she was the daughter of Denise (Menard) Bushey and the late Alfred Bushey. She had resided in Durham for the past forty years and lived in Meriden prior to that. She had graduated from Maloney High School, Class of 1967.
Mrs. Perkins was a parishioner of St. Laurent Church. She loved spending time with her six grandc hildren.
Besides her husband of fifty years, Ned, she is survived by her children, Lisa Cushing and her husband, Aaron, of Colchester, Scott Perkins and his wife, Jessica, of Bristol, and Erin Dudley and her husband, Jay, of Bristol; six grandchildren, Jackson, Nicholas, Keith, Anthony, Kaylee and Dougie; two sisters, Linda Buonano (Tom) of California and Joanne Gawel of Plantsville; five brothers, Alan Bushey, Danny (Nancy) Bushey of Meriden, Rene Bushey, Andrew (Patty) Bushey of New Hampshire, Michael Bushey (Lynne) of Hamden and Patrick Bushey of Meriden and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Keith Bushey.
Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, on Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. The funeral will follow at 3 pm.
