Obituary

Carol Marie Loiko, 71, of Moodus passed away at home on Saturday, August 1, 2020. Born March 12, 1949 in Meriden; she was the daughter of the late Boleslew and Albina (Awdziewicz) Loiko. Carol was a graduate of Francis T. Maloney high school in Meriden. She worked as a paraprofessional within the East Haddam school system for over 30 years where she touched the hearts of countless children.  In addition, she worked for many years at Hale N' Hearty in East Haddam and then at Angelico's Lake House in East Hampton. She will be forever loved and remembered by her daughter, Katie and husband, Sean Williams of East Haddam; her brother, William Loiko and his wife, Suellen of Sarasota, FL; her grandchildren, Hadley and Jace Williams; nephew, Joshua Loiko and his wife, Junie Kim of Los Angeles, CA; her longtime bestie, Marisa McCarthy; and numerous extended family and friends. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Robert Loiko. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
